  1. Sorry, but the burger and fries basket is garbage. Cheap bun, dry burger and overly salted fries. Tony O's will probably still be what I get, if I ever go back and they don't raise the price of that up to $15 as well. It used to be $10 and included chips. For $13, I'll make them make me a fresh one and leave the grab 'n' goes for others. Red Cow Sliders are good, but overpriced. Senior Smokes used to have Walking Tacos for a decent price, but I think they pulled them from the menu in 2021 (could have been 2019). Lame.
  2. I don't know that he will be a buy low candidate, because Oakland can see the same stats that don't make sense. Trivino is worth a call, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is sticker shock. Falvey will be dealing with Billy Beane, not Eric Cartman.
  3. Would have loved to see Buxton bunt in the 10th. Only one run was needed to win the game, and he's created havoc with his speed in the past. He squared around once, but the pitch wasn't even close. I guess that part of his game has been basically shelved at this point.
  4. Logan Gilbert is an up and coming star, so I'm not at all surprised with the lack of offense against him. With that said, the offense does need to be more consistent. The lack of adjustments against the soft-tossing Gonzales was annoying, especially considering the team's history of pounding him. The training room is where this team needs the biggest upgrades. Can the Twins trade Tyler Duffey, Elliot Soto and Brian Duensing (after coaxing him back) for a top 100 PT and sleeper Soft Tissue Specialist?
  5. Great game from Jeffers! I was hoping for a Gary/Larnach combo in the lineup, but I'm glad I was wrong. He really came through and caught a shutout while doing it. Oh, and if Luis Torrens were to happen to leave this planet and end up in that hot place, I'm pretty sure his punishment would be to play the top of that 8th inning for all eternity.
  6. Lead down to 2.5 games, and now the Twins have lost more games than Cleveland. Hopefully, the Twins will continue raking against Marco Gonzales and win this season series.
  7. Why are they manipulating service time when Kirilloff doesn't play the position of need ATM? Here is the MLBTR article on Soto's call up. It clearly states the reasoning for his selection.
  8. I understand Soto over Kirilloff for the short term. Polanco and Gordon are both dealing with naggining injuries, and I'm sure they want Palacios to keep playing every day. Soto is an emergency shortstop who can be DFA'd with little consequence. He can ride the pine and maybe get one day in the 9-hole when Rocco thinks Correa needs to DH or rest. Trov provided a possible explanation for the delay on a Kirilloff return, but I'm hopeful this will all work out after some rest for Gordon and Polanco and this west road trip wrapping up. Hopefully, AK's wrist just needed a little more time to get back into baseball shape after the stupid, weird off-season that led to the ST delay. His numbers of late sure make it seem that way.
  9. Unless CES moves up or gets hurt, he looks like he'll walk away with the Midwest POY (if there is such a thing). Runs - 4th Hits - 1st Doubles - 2nd Triples - 10th Home Runs - 2nd RBI - 1st AVG - 7th SLG - 3rd OPS - 2nd
  10. Since when is Cody Stashak a starter, and is anyone really surprised that Jose Miranda is hitting home runs? Martin is a great piece for making a trade when his trade value is declining? No logistical reason for keeping (19 yo) Noah Miller in the system? What does acquiring Montas or Mahle have to do with giving Cotton more growth opportunities? A lot of this doesn't make any sense.
  11. I'd only put him into spots similar to where he failed for now. However, don't wait until the 11th hour to warm up a replacement and create an unnecessary situation. IL is also fine with me. Moran or Cotton need longer looks. I'd rather see failure from younger, controlled arms than an older, declining vet in a contract year.
  12. Gray is the guy. Smeltzer would be 1b, if Baldelli and Duffey wouldn't have bent him over against the Royals.
  13. That 20-win May is starting to look like a pipe dream. A 12-win June is probably more likely.
  14. This is true. However, if you plan to ride the LRT from MOA to Target Field, you will be exposed to "urban culture". Some people aren't comfortable with it, and they often mistakenly associate this with crime.
  15. Does anyone who watched any of the game yesterday (5/25 vs Detroit) think there were really 20,375 people there?
  16. That's an incomplete and wishful thinking list. Karbo's response is more in line with what the real reasons are. Even if you aren't older and handicapped trying to navigate downtown, you still may have to deal with the complete clusterf*** that is the LRT after night games. The crowds on the trains aren't the problem either. It's the complete mismanagement of the lines and the out-of-service cars that happens when the games let out.
  17. Balazovic is starting look like he may go the way of the Adam Johnsons and JD Durbins of the world.
