    I don't care for Falvey at all. He has had 8 (?) years to build the club and he did not succeed. But in his defense, it is clear he had his marching orders from the CEO's desk.

    Baldelli's interview was on 'CCO. "Exciting ...time." Whole interview was company line. Having heard Falvey, could hear the rehearsal. In his defense, he spent the day at the hotel saying goodbye and thanking traded players; reassuring remaining staff.

    While I won't be watching (radio man), it would be a unique study in sports management to see how Baldelli speaks to the clubhouse and who emerges as a leader. Love Buxton in CF but I don't see him as a leader. I had wished that Vazquez would be sent packing like the lead sinkers in my tackle box. No other veterans have the charisma of a Correa. A couple of 30+ yr olds, with retread tires, but then we are looking at Funderburk as a wise sage, all of 29.

    Smart move. Love it. Gets that liability off the financial books and facilitates a sale. New owner can come in with low payroll (move over Vazquez) and build club from bottom up in 5-6 years.

    Trade Skenes or Ryan? No way. Look to the future and build around such a player. Stud pitchers are rare and often involve pigs in a poke in return. Don't gut your starting 5.

    3 in a booth are fine if they are in synch or orchestrated. I can't deal with talk-overs. However, it is moot for me; strictly a radio boy and get 3 only when a guest is in the booth and then we often lose the ballgame as it isn't done well. Glad to hear they have found work for Plouffie besides his podcast work.

    I've had the A's game on and back in to the Twins. Atterbee sounded like a balloon on its last gasp. Somehow, I knew right then that Ober was giving up the gopher balls even without the score being announced.

    Ends started and pitched 5 scoreless inns for the Tigers yesterday. 34 yrs old and makes first start of career after 33 inns total of relief work in MLB.
