  1. Jays batted 19th in MLB in 2024. Poppkins hired by the Jays in the off-season after Twins cut him loose. Jays currently hitting 5th best in MLB, 2025.
  2. I haven't see Lee play. Lots of time at SS in college and minors; minimal in MLB. Does he have the range for SS at the MLB level? The arm? Asking.
  3. Mets radio booth said Baldelli had the pitchers out for an hour of PFP before the game this eve.
  4. Remember Hunter Greene? Has been throwing an ERA of 1.00 since July 2024. Twins went with Lewis instead in 2017, first pick of the draft, and left Greene to get slotted with the Reds. Lewis injury history: https://www.foxsports.com/mlb/royce-lewis-2-player-injuries Admittedly hindsight is easy ... but painful,
  5. Twins pitchers done have the "yips." https://www.baseball-yips.com
  6. Note sure about other sites but yesterday the Tigers' radio booth said, my paraphrase,: "Boy, we are seeing more of the Twins just like their last year's free fall. And they did nothing to improve over the Winter..."
  7. Since they won't DFA Baldelli, I was thinking they should option him to St Paul along with Miranda and use the light rail to bring up Gardenhire.
  8. ...thought I heard some boo-birds over radio feed.
  9. DFA and call up Bartolo off the dining room table.
  10. appears to be a better crowd than I anticipated.
  11. Those who have never heard him call a game, tune in to Detroit 97.1, Dan Dickerson. One of the premier announcers in the game.
  12. SP rotation pushed back. Who comes across the rive from StP?
  13. Product, branding, effective marketing, ambiance, cost. º Product. Twins languish near the bottom of the league on steals, BA, slugging, and OPS. Very boring baseball. º I live here and have no idea of a solid branding. º Marketing? Where, when? º Ambiance is great. Love this park and ushering team is superb. º Cost has escalated beyond the value of the experience for me. I find myself listening to the Tigers, Yankees, Guards, and White Sox (Dickerson, Waldman, Hamilton, and Jackson announcing, respectively). A's games on when the Sandman greets me. Ris Chatteberry? Really. Only tune in when Molitor sits in Gladden's vacant seat. I wore black for a week when radio-waves lost Provus. Falvey and Baldelli have failed. St Peter's legacy lives on. Pohlads need to dump for $1.5BB and move on. Then look for me on a 20-strip. Until then, I will pick and choose depending on visitor and their SP.
  14. David St Peter's legacy lives on.
  15. ...and two guesses what I was doing from 1968-1972?
  16. Shoot, it's not even mid-April and I am changing the dial from Twins to listen to the Tigers and then the Dodgers games on the radio, while checking the box score of the Twins.
  17. Bartolo retired, on the couch, but wonders about the torpedo in his hand. https://www.si.com/mlb/bartolo-colon-asked-perfect-question-viral-torpedo-bats-home-run
  18. I 2nd that. All goose eggs. Best get them in before 80 pitches.
