Keirsey would have been my choice. Better bat I believe if you give him some abats, faster I bet and possibly as good as Badder. Could be wrong but Keirsey is a hell of a lot cheaper.
On a side note the article said the AL North Division is known for not spending much money. I hate the MLB salary structure where big market teams can outstanding small market team but it just dawned on me at least the other teams in our division don't have a lot of money to spend. So it's very fair in regards to winning our division.
I understand how excited everyone is to see Jenkins debute, but we must remember he won't even turn 20 until 3 weeks. The last thing I want is for him to come up too early.
Let's wait and see how he performs in spring training and AA first ..
We have a competitive team now. It's competitive enough to enjoy watching next season.
The team is close to being sold, which is the ONLY way we are a competitive bidder in next year's free agency. The foundation is being laid. Rome was built in a day ..
Great article. We do have a good nucleus. The funny thing about sports is it takes 25% of the season to know how good you will be. Look at the NFL. Look at the Vikings. No one predicted they would do anywhere near as well as they are.
No reason the Twins can't win their division with the talent on hand next year.
I'm not sure the back of the rotation started is high on my list of Twins needs, but I like the catcher. Who else could they throw in that, either player's outfield or first base.
Our only hope in the long term is to get this team sold or pray our young players all bust out simultaneously. Until then, I'll still watch the development of our young guys.
Correa - Not one single team has come calling for Correa. Zero. No conversations. Period.
Let that sink in ... How quick is Correa? He doesn't run fast on the basis. I would love to see Lee and Correa in a foot race. I wouldn't bet my house on Correa winning ..
