  1. Still waiting for your qualifications and all this "inside knowledge" that you claim to have........
  2. Look at that......Salvy Perez at 34 playing 1B when he's not catching. Must not have any uncomfortable body parts. OK....sorry....I'll stop.
  3. You act like training, stretching, getting treatment all day is a unique thing. IT'S HIS JOB! HE'S GETTING 10'S OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO PLAY BASEBALL!!!!! If he worked an 8-10 hour day at the factory and then spent "hours and hours of time every day in the training room" then i'd be impressed. He plays (or doesn't play) a game for at most 4-5 hours a day. He should be getting treatment in the training room when he's not playing just to put in a full days work. Finally, where did I say i was owed anything from his medicals???? It's been REPORTED that the MRI's have all come back clear. Somehow, that makes me "entitled" if I comment on that? Unbelievable.
  4. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I never used the word "soft". I believe what I said is he's a guy that needs to feel 110% in order to play. But here's the problem.....he may never be 100% again, or certainly not in September. Anyone who would rather see Willie or Martin or Margot running circles in center field rather than having an 80% Buxton out there is CRAZY.....
  5. Haven't been paying attention? I've literally seen 95% of the games.....please tell me what inside information you have that he is "pushing" to play whenever he can.......????
  6. Why is anyone calling Buxton soft unbelievable? Why? The MRI has reportedly (repeatedly?) come back clean?? So what is the problem? His hip is sore? Hip discomfort? Sometimes, you gotta play through some discomfort....he was having a tremendous month at the time of this discomfort.... I've heard it said repeatedly from NFL guys that track athletes rarely make it in the NFL because their body has to feel "perfect" in order to perform and that just doesn't happen in the NFL. Buxton appears to me to be one of those guys, whose body has to feel perfect in order to play. That sucks, and I'll continue to say that he has to lower his expectations as to his "comfort" level.
  7. The highlights I've seen of Culpepper make him look plenty smooth at SS with a very good arm and lateral movement.....
  8. Yep....3-0 count with leadoff guy on 2nd base and a lefty hitting....how about just once get a green light jump on the fastball and let him pull the ball. Worst case scenario he advances the guy to 3rd. Instead, take the 3-0 fastball. Take the 3-1 cutter and swing at the 3-2 pitch that bounces. SMH
  9. C'mon.......the MRI comes back clean. Hip discomfort? Does he realize that he doesn't need to be 100% to play? Do you think Salvator Perez has hip discomfort when he catches everyday and then plays 1B on his off-days? Time to suck it up a bit Byron.....
  10. All we hear about is Brooks Lee's father is a baseball coach. If he didn't teach his kid to bunt, he should be ashamed of himself. Provus: "the bunt is just not something in his game....."
  11. I hate umps like this guy who seem to expand the strike zone because it's a soft-tossing lefty. He's given Springs about 4 changeups that are way outside. Makes no sense. Just another brutal offensive performance......
  12. THIS....should've been 5 shoutout with enough pitches to get into the 6th. 8th grade jump on that ball that dropped in front of Martin and how in the world is a ball that hits your glove between your feet and end up in the outfield considered a hit????? I was watching the family celebrate and I was thinking to myself "Not so fast, that's an error....."
  13. I'm thrilled they won the game, but for the first seven innings, that might have been the most pathetic offensive performance of the year. It was a bad omen when Willie lead off going 3-2 with the starting pitcher yet to throw a strike and then getting rung up on a pitch well outside. The Blue Jays starting pitcher had probably the worst stuff I've seen from a starter all year and he still managed to not give up any runs. Just pathetic AB's all day long. Thank God Royce saved the day on a hanging slider. I really hope Buxton's hip can get comfortable soon. SMH
  14. Jax threw 10 pitches in the 7th......he couldn't pitch the 8th? Sands is available.. Alcala has been great minus the last outing. Instead........we go to Okert. This one's on you Rocco
  15. Yeah....I see where last night Naylor was struck out in the 3rd inning or so which would have been the 3rd out....instead it was called a ball and they went on to score 5 runs.
  16. I swear I heard he's one of the fastest on the team....long legs, long strides. Great athlete.
  17. Hip discomfort? Are you ****ing me? I've been one of Buxton's biggest defenders, but this is getting ridiculous. I've heard football coaches complain about wide receivers who have "track legs" and are always pulling something and can't/won't play with aches and pains. At some point, you have to play with a little discomfort.
  18. I wouldn't mind them offering him arbitration....knee surgery should correct the problem and give him the offseason to rehab. Arm is solid (unless his most recent set-back is arm related). Twins will be too cheap to do it, but with our lack of bullpen arms, I'd take a chance.
  19. Yeah....it's not like it's an important game or anything......SMH
  20. When Vazquez missed the HR by about 6 inches I turned to my son and said "Cleveland puts up a crooked number next inning guaranteed....." Just one of those days......need Carlos back ASAP
  21. What an idiotic play by Hedges......it was ball 4 (not really close to strike 3) and he throws down to second....thank you very much!!!
  22. Maybe we could trade for Jorge Lopez......LMAO
  23. Triceps tenderness....that's probably good news. Triceps isn't usually indicative of Tommy John surgery, forearm issues are.
  24. Not even DH'ing Lewis with a day off tomorrow was waving the white flag.....Buxton is one of my favorite players to watch, but he's more brittle than my 95 year old grandma....missing three games for running into the fence is ridiculous. Rocco's pregame interview again today said he was unsure if Buxton would be available for today (he would have to hear from the trainers)....what happened to he was fine 2 games ago and it was just a scheduled day off?? To have Richards on this roster with Varland at AAA is disgusting. Before i get hammered, I'm not advocating for him to be a starter, but knock, knock....you're in a pennant race. You need to have your best arms on the roster. Richards ain't it. Ridiculous.
