  1. Bad bad bad loss. Ump literally cost us this game. Correa got screwed too. Duran throws 102......let's throw nothing but breaking balls. Four straight. Just an absolute joke.
  2. This ump is absolute.horseshit.....the first 2 pitches to Ramirez were both strikes....should've been 0-2 instead of 2-0. 3rd pitch should've been strike 3. He hits HR on next pitch. Combined with ringing up Castro on a ball 12 inches outside....i don't know what else to say.
  3. Great throw by Jeffers....this better be overturned......
  4. Just an embarrassing display of baseball so far tonight: 1. The first 4 innings the Twins could've stood at the plate like statues because McKenzie couldn't have thrown 3 strikes in one AB to save his life. He had NOTHING but we flailed away at balls in the dirt and pitches outside. He was also helped by an incredibly big strike zone. When he did get to 2 strikes (mostly because of our ridiculous pitch recognition) we would often take strike 3 down the middle. He was topping out at 91 (maybe 92). Ridiculous. 2. Poor SWR.....he had to get Ramirez out 3 times in the 6th. How does Correa violate the shift rule. He's looking right at home plate. Secondly, Ramirez pops up, Jeffers stands there, and Miranda jogs into try to catch the pop up. Ridiculous. We then throw the ball into center field on a stolen base attempt. Little league. 3. Okert? Enough said. 0-2----right down the freaking middle. 4. The strike 3 on Castro in the 8th was a FOOT outside. Cost us a run. One of the worst punch outs I've seen all year.
  5. I don't know if i've ever seen a game with such soft contact from our hitters.....Correa's double and a bunch of weak grounders and pop-ups.
  6. Fun fact....Alex Verdugo makes the same $$$$ as Manny Margot....who would we rather have hitting and playing the outfield?? SMH
  7. The difference in outfield play in this series is mind-boggling.....
  8. In the first game of the series they ruled a double on Soto's flare to centerfield that Castro pulled up on and then misplayed when he transferred the ball from his glove to hand. I thought that was the worst scoring decision I had seen in a while....until today. The ball hit AK's glove right in the middle. He didn't have to dive for it, not was he even fully sprinting at the time it hit his glove. This is the major leagues FFS......
  9. Really? So now there's some "slack" in the rule??? I understand your point, but if you're gonna allow "slack" you're opening up a can of worms.....
  10. He almost had to with the way the ump is giving Strohman the low and outside pitch.....
  11. At least according to Perk on the TV broadcast, the clock had run out for about 2 seconds when they challenged it. That's why Rocco was out on the field. I wish he would've lost it and got tossed. Can you imagine if they allowed a challenge to the Twins in that situation??? Boone would have had a coronary.....
  12. Does the replay clock not matter when it's the Yankees? Love to hear how that one is explained.....
  13. He also forgot to cover 1st base in a game vs. the Tigers earlier which was a huge play. IIRC, it was extra innings and his failure to cover probably cost them a shot at turning a double play. Ironically, he pitched out of it and probably won the the game for the good guys. I do remember the radio guy (Gladden?) being very critical of his lack of awareness.
  14. Prielipp and Canterino too?
  15. My point exactly.....if Jax is good enough to face 4, 5, 6 he's certainly good enough to pitch to 1, 2, 3......right? Jax looked like he was ****ing bricks in the 9th. It worked, but only because his ass knocked down the line drive. Duran is so unfazed by the moment. Just rather him pitching there. It's why closers make big $$$$$ and 7th-8th inning guys don't.
  16. Whatever....who's closing? Make sure you say it now. It's 4, 5, and 6 for the Jays.
  17. Rocco trying to be cute again....bringing in Duran in the 8th. Dumb.
  18. Sorry to start this nonsense already, but Margot batting 5th????? If Rocco insists on playing him, bat him 10th....seriously.
  19. Interesting....3 former member of the "pipeline": Chase Petty (really struggling in A ball) Cade Povich (killing it in AAA) Steve Hajjar (injured and struggling in A ball)
  20. I don't care about the term "pipeline" but the staff as a whole has some homegrown talent in Duran, Jax, Thielbar, Ober, SWR, and to a lesser extent Funderburk, Alcala and Varland. The staff also has to be given credit for Ryan who had never pitched in the majors before he got here.
  21. Serverino struck out 5 times?????? I know you get the Golden Sombrero for 4, but what do you get for 5? YIKES
  22. Rocco does realize the game is 9 innings right? You don't get a partial win by leading after 7 or 8.....
  23. I've watched the replay a bunch of times.....do you (or anyone?) think that Martin's slide "caused" the injury as the articles states? I don't think he even touched him until after the pitcher was passed the base and I think the damage had already been done.....
