  1. Whoa whoa whoa...... Let me start by saying that I appreciate the game thread and hope you don't take your ball and go home. But then you go on a profanity laced rant that blames the players and the front office???? Rocco blew that game yesterday and I'm afraid there will be residual effects going forward. Hard to move on from that debacle. But you can't have it both ways,...tell everyone to act like an adult and then drop a bunch of F bombs stating your position. That's hypocritical. Give me a three day vacation, if you want. I need it after watching Sunday's game. LOL
  2. "that was an unprofessional series of managing baseball....." Fixed it for you Rocco. SMH
  3. IMO....this was still runners interference......right? There doesn't need to be contact for the call to be made. Royce was going after the ball and was hindered by the runner. Should he have run into the runner? Yes, but I still think interference should have been called. No?
  4. He's thrown 106 pitches in a game this year. Very possible to go 2 more innings in 23 pitches the way he was dealing.....
  5. He's like 22/24 in save situations with sub 2 ERA.....let him do the one thing he is really good at. It's like trying to turn David Ortiz into a slap hitter....oh shoot, bad example.
  6. I don't disagree with this, but the ridiculous hitting right now is all the more reason you gotta squeeze every ounce out of your pitching staff. Ober was CRUISING......, best game he's pitched all year, better than his complete game earlier this season based on the opponent and situation.
  7. Not even talking about Duran vs. Jax in the 8th, can anyone please defend pulling Ober after 7?? 1. Pitch count? 84 pitches (he's thrown over 100 in starts before) 2. Struggling? Set down 15 in a row. 3. Didn't want him to face the top of the order again? I believe KC had 6-7-8 or 7-8-9 coming up.... 4. Hard contact? One hit. Literally ZERO hard contact. 5. Rested bullpen? Nope. Tired bullpen. Could've really used a day off. Am I missing a reason??? Anyone?
  8. Yeah....I"m replying to my own post.....because it was posted before the inning started??? Where are "thumbs down" brothers now? Talking about Sixel and CCHOF5yearstoolate???
  9. The fact that a guy who has just retired 15 guys in a row and is at 80 pitches should be pulled for a guy with an ERA around 5 in non-save situations is funny to me...... This just proves my point you know NOTHING about baseball. Hey....tell Rocco he sucks at the next family dinner you're at.....
  10. Struggling???? He's great.....IN HIS ROLE....the times he's struggled are in non-save situations. So what does Rocco do????? Unreal
  11. And you defending the ridiculous moves by Rocco is hillarious. Let's hear the defense of pulling Ober with 80 pitches? Why Duran in the 8th and not Jax, other than over-thinking (despite the analytics). Say something instead of "i'm right, you're wrong".
  12. Are you related to Rocco? Your incessant defense of his moronic moves is something..... ANALYTICS......ANALYTICS.....ANALYTICS.....that's all we hear about.... The ANALYTICS says Duran's ERA and every other statistic is terrible in non-save situations. But Roc-Head has to get cute and bring him in the 8th. Give me the ol' "thumbs down" because that's what you do..... Here....let me help you 👎
  13. This is freaking insane....is he really pulling Ober with 80 pitches. The Royals have literally not hit a ball hard this whole game!!!!! Is he really bringing in Duran in. the 8th??? Has Rocco not learned his lesson? For a guy that claims to look at analytics, does he not notice his ERA is like 5 in non-save situations? I'm speechless.
  14. Still waiting for your qualifications and all this "inside knowledge" that you claim to have........
  15. Look at that......Salvy Perez at 34 playing 1B when he's not catching. Must not have any uncomfortable body parts. OK....sorry....I'll stop.
  16. You act like training, stretching, getting treatment all day is a unique thing. IT'S HIS JOB! HE'S GETTING 10'S OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO PLAY BASEBALL!!!!! If he worked an 8-10 hour day at the factory and then spent "hours and hours of time every day in the training room" then i'd be impressed. He plays (or doesn't play) a game for at most 4-5 hours a day. He should be getting treatment in the training room when he's not playing just to put in a full days work. Finally, where did I say i was owed anything from his medicals???? It's been REPORTED that the MRI's have all come back clear. Somehow, that makes me "entitled" if I comment on that? Unbelievable.
  17. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I never used the word "soft". I believe what I said is he's a guy that needs to feel 110% in order to play. But here's the problem.....he may never be 100% again, or certainly not in September. Anyone who would rather see Willie or Martin or Margot running circles in center field rather than having an 80% Buxton out there is CRAZY.....
  18. Haven't been paying attention? I've literally seen 95% of the games.....please tell me what inside information you have that he is "pushing" to play whenever he can.......????
  19. Why is anyone calling Buxton soft unbelievable? Why? The MRI has reportedly (repeatedly?) come back clean?? So what is the problem? His hip is sore? Hip discomfort? Sometimes, you gotta play through some discomfort....he was having a tremendous month at the time of this discomfort.... I've heard it said repeatedly from NFL guys that track athletes rarely make it in the NFL because their body has to feel "perfect" in order to perform and that just doesn't happen in the NFL. Buxton appears to me to be one of those guys, whose body has to feel perfect in order to play. That sucks, and I'll continue to say that he has to lower his expectations as to his "comfort" level.
  20. The highlights I've seen of Culpepper make him look plenty smooth at SS with a very good arm and lateral movement.....
  21. Yep....3-0 count with leadoff guy on 2nd base and a lefty hitting....how about just once get a green light jump on the fastball and let him pull the ball. Worst case scenario he advances the guy to 3rd. Instead, take the 3-0 fastball. Take the 3-1 cutter and swing at the 3-2 pitch that bounces. SMH
  22. C'mon.......the MRI comes back clean. Hip discomfort? Does he realize that he doesn't need to be 100% to play? Do you think Salvator Perez has hip discomfort when he catches everyday and then plays 1B on his off-days? Time to suck it up a bit Byron.....
  23. All we hear about is Brooks Lee's father is a baseball coach. If he didn't teach his kid to bunt, he should be ashamed of himself. Provus: "the bunt is just not something in his game....."
  24. I hate umps like this guy who seem to expand the strike zone because it's a soft-tossing lefty. He's given Springs about 4 changeups that are way outside. Makes no sense. Just another brutal offensive performance......
