  1. Gotta think Jeffers has made a serious, professional effort to change his 2-strike approach. His K’s are down significantly, and he’s still managing to drive the ball. A bright spot…I’d love to see him be able to sustain it.
  2. Sure! TODAY Thielbar get’s Carpenter. I guess Rocco was correct when he brought him in Friday after all.
  3. Arrive at the same place via different routes. Gonna make it hard on the MVP voters.
  4. 😓 I’d much rather had you respond with a quip.
  5. I’m astounded at HOW good Rocco must think his defense is…and HOW bad he must think Kirilloff’s is to not have Kirilloff at 1B and Jeffers at DH in today’s lineup.
  6. I’d say, getting the ball in the air is his game. But the constant rolling over on pitches on the outer half ruins that as well.
  7. Certainly don’t have a problem with him getting more chances at this point. My expectation would be lower than yours, though. As they say…I’d love to be wrong.
  8. I wouldn’t let it Festa much longer.
  9. Not great, but probably significantly better.
  10. Nice job by Sands and Bowman to stop the bleeding. Now let’s get back in the game! Please.
  11. We’re absolutely, positively, without a doubt, just as good as Detroit. Draw your own conclusions.
  12. HBP. Thankfully. But I’m starting to question whether Rocco knows that you can make these substitutions in the DEFENSIVE half of the inning. Someone needs remind him that the rules allow it.
  13. Ok…need to tack on here. Somehow.
  14. I’m assured that Alcala is learning a lot in St Paul right now.
  15. It’s a brilliant defensive strategy. It reduces the chances of runs being scored no matter which team is in the field. Rocco, again, ahead of his time.
  16. Happened to be reading a ‘50 years ago’ history site…general, not sports-centric…. Early in the 1974 season, Nolan Ryan struck out 19 batters over 13 innings. Lest the young’uns among you scoff at this old-timey bit of trivia…this is in an era when the name of the game was putting the ball in play…and players had the approach and skill to do so. Point being…he was throwing HARD…all 13 innings. And he pitched another 20 years after that. Not that we can use Nolan Ryan as an ‘example’ career…still, what happened?
  17. You mean an entity worth $1.3 trillion? I don’t think the TD staff shares your concern.
  18. A Camargo sighting in today’s lineup!! For a while there, I thought he might be the first non-pitcher in history to qualify for the pension without an official at-bat.
  19. Yeah. I wouldn’t expect the Twins beat writers or the local columnists to be on it. But I would expect the experts/bloggers…local and national…that produce prospect rankings for profit, to get on it at some point. They’ve all universally proclaimed him a top starting prospect.
  20. So…the difference between winning a division and coming in 2nd or 3rd? Sometimes, it can be both. And there’s been plenty of criticism of the players. Tons.
  21. You may be wrong for all I know But you may be right
