    Jon Singleton was called up by the Brewers yesterday. He's the former Astros prospect who signed a 5 year, $10M contract in 2014 before ever playing in big league game. The quote I got a kick out of: "By the time Seattle offered me to sign in July 2012, the same college my parents went to accepted me into medical school," López said.     I imagine he'll be optioned to start 2024 when he returns from Tommy John. He's only pitched a few games above class A ball.

    To be clear, the NY Post article says that Boras has checked in with other teams. Twins are one of the teams "in contact" with Boras. The article doesn't say that the Twins "have contacted" Boras. Boras seems to be reaching out to the Twins, not visa versa.

    Is this referring to this morning's article in the Atlantic? I don't have a subscription, but from the title it appears to be a recap of the winter meetings. It doesn't seem like Aaron Gleeman is breaking news with a report of a new offer.

    Last year, the Astros sent Alex Bregman on a second rehab assignment when the team concluded he wasn't ready at the end of his initial 20-day rehab window. He had to sit out five days and then began the second assignment.
