Twins Trade Bobby Wilson To Cubs For Old Friend

Best of luck, Bobby.

It appears that Giminez is not on the 40-man roster.  With this move, they have opened up a spot on the 40-man roster.  Is it possible they will be adding someone today or over the weekend?  Another trade?  Someone joining the Twins after the minor league season is over, someone who isn't on the current roster?  Maybe a relief pitcher at Rochester?

While this is true, I believe Giminez will be added and called up this weekend.

Which could go to someone else, probably a reliever, for evaluation purposes instead. Maybe that's not needed. We shall see.

As has been noted, they have two guys out for the year that aren’t on the 60 day DL. And then there’s Belisle.

As expected

I didn't think you could trade players on the D.L.

Giminez can't be too happy.

I don't know ... was he still on the active roster in Chicago?

You know what, I didn't even think of that!  I kinda assumed he was just playing every 5th day in Chicago and polishing up his dancing shoes for the World Series. That sounds less likely when I say it out loud....

I thought I had read he was sent down ... but now I'm not sure. I think he was on their active roster.

For old time's sake, every once in a while they let Terry Ryan take control of the steering wheel.

I am whelmed

Yes, but what's the over-under?

Gimenez, who batted .204 at AAA is playing first base....scrap heap Fields playing left today....Wade/Buxton other young players all down in AAA.

Shame

probably Rizzo, or Bryant. Maybe even both.

I have faith Levine can talk them into Javier Baez.
