One of these days I'll make the roadtrip to see them play elsewhere. Port Charlotte would probably be the easiest to get to.

Red Sox isn't too long a trek to see them play elsewhere either. :)

From what I've heard about getting out of the parking lot at JetBlue Park, I'd probably get home from Port Charlotte faster.

hmmm ... that didn't sound too flattering on plouffe ... but florimon picked him up the next at bat

Rays announcers refer to Diamond inducing a DP as being due to pitch-to-contact.

And then they go on to anoint Hicks as the likely leadoff hitter when the season starts, despite today's lineup looking for all the world like the opening day lineup if Gardy's wish comes true with Kubel.

As you might know, my family is boycotting the stadium in Port Charlotte. We still approve of Stone Crabs.

If you still like stone crabs, then why are you boycotting the stadium??? (of course, I don't like what they did to the Miracle in the playoffs last September)

On a more serious note, consider the Phillies winter home in Clearwater. It is really easy to get to and Brighthouse (?) Field is very nice. It's probably at least a half hour longer drive, but it is pretty.

There's also the O's in Sarasota ... I've been by that stadium before as I have friends up there, but have never been to a game.

Sigh. How many strikeouts do we have now?

Only 5. It's still early though, they could pad their totals before the night is out.

Stone Crabs--tasty seafood. Port Charlotte--inaccessible and rude.

A pair of designated hits by Kubel against a lefty. Rare, like good prime rib.

If you like raw meat ...
