ashbury Verified Member Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 MLB.tv seems to have only audio, not video, for today's game.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 I know ... just discovered that myself ... <poutyface>
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 One of these days I'll make the roadtrip to see them play elsewhere. Port Charlotte would probably be the easiest to get to.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 okay ... 0-0 after 1.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 The Rays broadcast schedule for the entire month of March only shows an MLBN (delay) game @ Boston on 3/23 and Sun Sports broadcasts on 3/25 and 3/26. Really sparse coverage. Kind of goes along with their crowds at home. Do they not have regular coverage? Look at this:http://tampabay.rays.mlb.com/schedule/broadcast/index.jsp?c_id=tb

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 oh, yeah ... I forget about the teams I don't like
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 From what I've heard about getting out of the parking lot at JetBlue Park, I'd probably get home from Port Charlotte faster.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Ugh ... two strikeouts this inning. Sigh.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 hmmm ... that didn't sound too flattering on plouffe ... but florimon picked him up the next at bat
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Rays announcers refer to Diamond inducing a DP as being due to pitch-to-contact. And then they go on to anoint Hicks as the likely leadoff hitter when the season starts, despite today's lineup looking for all the world like the opening day lineup if Gardy's wish comes true with Kubel.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 oh geez ... Hicks tripped around 1st base ... would've had a double otherwise ...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 And that trip cost us. Double play.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 If you still like stone crabs, then why are you boycotting the stadium??? (of course, I don't like what they did to the Miracle in the playoffs last September)

It's probably at least a half hour longer drive, but it is pretty.
snepp Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 No radio for me. On the plus side, that means no Gladden either.

I've been by that stadium before as I have friends up there, but have never been to a game.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Back to the game--non-existent offense continues.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Sigh. How many strikeouts do we have now?
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Sigh. How many strikeouts do we have now? Only 5. It's still early though, they could pad their totals before the night is out.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 A pair of designated hits by Kubel against a lefty. Rare, like good prime rib.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It does seem that Kubel, Hicks, and Diamond read Mr. Antony's little rant, and took it to heart.
