I'm not usually one to complain about umps and strike zones, but....this guy has been terrible thus far. Just horrible.

Indians are playing fundamentally flawed baseball. They probably have enough talent going against the rag-tag Twins' lineup to overcome it. That is basically why I have a hard time getting worked up over a single mistake by a Twins' pitcher in a lost season and/or blaming the manager.

Capsule movie review: Blue Jasmine is an excellent character study and the raves for Blanchett's performance are deserved, but anyone harboring fears for their own sanity maybe shouldn't go.

 

This review pretty much sums it up for me. Also, a friend who is a psychiatrist has said that this movie has increased his business.

Uhh, I don't think Dick even knows the f-bomb. Isn't he the guy who wouldn't use the word "hell" in reading a promo?

I prefer Blue Valentine to Blue Velvet. Both movies have very depressing plots, but at least in Blue Valentine Michelle Williams has a topless scene. I think that there is something about female nudity that dissipates depression.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be critical - just felt the need to post something uplifting. We've got our share of fire problems in Idaho too. Then Friday we had a flash flood. Figures.

Pelfrey just keeps nibbling and nibbling. I don't know if it would be different if the score was different, but man it is annoying. The thing is that Cleveland isn't making good contact that often, but he keeps putting guys on. Well, he got through the fifth, but he won't/can't go deep after throwing so many pitches.

I know what you mean. Normally when a pitcher only gives up 2 hits through 5 it's a good sign. Usually.
