The Vikings have also gotten embarrassed lately when they are the #2 seed, but I get it. I honestly could care less if the Giants beat the Vikings with McCarthy, Dart, Winston or Jeff Hostetler though. I don't dislike KOC, but I'm really disliking his habit of being the nice guy, who coincidentally doesn't acknowledge his mistakes. At least not the ones of significance.

And silver lining: such a loss seems like it would potentially cause the new front office to re-evaluate play calling, offensive scheme and player development at minimum.

Is it a little concerning that Teasley presumably signed off on shipping out McCarthy when the qb room was Murray and Wentz?

I have to think everyone involved thought going to McCarthy would lose the locker room. The guy refused to play in the final preseason game after losing the starter job but while still competing for the #2. There's no way the veteran players were cool with that.

Also, if Teasley is adamant about starting over next year at QB and thought a quasi playable McCarthy would put the Vikings in a CJ Stroud or Bryce Young situation.

Or if he thought that they already had Murray and having two QBs who can't throw over the middle of the field would be redundant.

No. He wasn't here long, and had to trust the coaches and likely players he spoke with.

I'll throw this possibility out too; if KOC really was the one who was done with McCarthy, and there was a rift between head coach and QB, then Teasley would have been in position where he had to either choose the coach or the QB.

That's obviously just a hypothetical.

And no one would choose otherwise between these two. Not yet ...
