The last 3 world series game threads for the purists is the equivalent of a random Sunday game thread in June. Yawn.

Aranda, from a certain angle anyway, looks like a young Nelson Cruz.

The panel would also have accepted "Yes."  😄

Welp.  9 innings of very good baseball.  Bring on the 10th!

So good it's left everyone speechless!

SB runner out.  Safe if not wearing oven mitt.

Looked like there was daylight (stadium lights) between the defender's glove and the oven mitt....

At least in the play-offs there is no Manfred Man (Ghost runner) to f*** things up...

[Vanimal46]

No Manfred ball in the World Series... Clean bases

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Wells flirting with strike zone too much…

[mnfireman]

Tampa's (lack of) defense is going to hurt them eventually...

[Vanimal46]

My god the announcer thought a dropped foul ball with the bases empty was the worst thing he's ever seen on a baseball field

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

3B’s ball, 10 times out of 10

Especially with 2 outs 2 strikes and no one on base

It’s the equivalent of pumping fake noise into a mausoleum of a ballpark 😛

I guess he has to try to make this game exciting himself....

[Tlaker]

It’s Fox!! People it is Fox!

Evidently you would rather have Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, and Don Lemon announce the game...

Anyone other than owned by the Rupert family will be just fine

Walter Cronkite: these teams have played to a stalemate tonight

[Vanimal46]

This game deserves to go 20 innings and purists will call it the best game they've ever seen

[Mike Sixel]

This is the kind of game I expected.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Watch the Rays play 14 innings tonight, struggle with all their might, blow out their bullpen to pull out a close hard-won victory, only to have Mizz destroy them tomorrow night…

A game where the Rays don't want to win but the Brewers offense went to sleep too?

This is a classic call… especially that most of the folks on here have no idea who this guy is!

[Vanimal46]

This MF'er will do anything except write the final Game of Thrones book...

From the pitching standpoint they do not have a better option tonight.

Just a little better maintained beard and new glasses

This specific trio in the broadcast booth could set a record for number of mentions of "sportsball" and "fourth base."

[Vanimal46]

That will probably do it for the Brewers sweep
