Game #1 was amazing. The defense was spectacular. These are the clear two best teams in baseball, which they have proved during the course of the 162 game season. There is no way to predict how the series goes but I'm hoping for seven games.

Great game last night. Fun baseball to watch - this was baseball before the Three True Outcomes. Looking forward to watching tonight.

And not just that it was spectacular, but the plays were entertaining.  Even when spectacularity was missing, a mediocre throw from the second baseman on what could have been the game-ending DP made for great baseball.  I'm not sure the game is better exactly, with replay like that changing the umpire's call by such a close margin, but the situation made it immensely entertaining, with a giant What-If looming over the at bat that followed.

I was about to insert another tumbleweeds gif when you piped up.

Yeah, when the Brewers came right back with 2 in the bottom of the first, I was kind of foreseeing this type of path for the game.  The Rays can still pull it out of course.  Postseason baseball at its best, even with little misplays or questionable decisions here and there.

Well, tonight I was watching my brother in law and wife figure out how to cut 45 degree angles with mostly the right tool, but not quite. Then helping him do cuts for my project. I've missed a good 7 innings.

In particular you missed a great at bat by a shortstop who was overmatched by a righty reliever but still managed to deliver a go-ahead single.  Unless you tuned in just in time.

Maybe.  The one camera shot from above showed the thigh getting tagged while the runner's foot was still a few inches short of the plate.

Ashby is just amazing though.

The Twins took DaShawn Kiersey one pick ahead of Ashby.  It just gets more and more painful.

That said, I have to congratulate the Rays for providing us the most grossly ugly uniforms in the history of the World Series. 👍
