took a dive into Zebby’s metrics from today for all who care.

Velo up. 

4-seam 0.6 up

Slider- 0.7 up

Cutter- 0.9 up

 

Slider was dominant- 70% strike rate, 54% chase rate. His best pitch was dominant today. 33% whiff 

used his changeup well to keep lefties off his fastball. Widened velo gap may have helped here. 9.3 mph difference vs standard of 8.4

12 balls in play, 7 were hit hard. Cutter was hit extra hard. 

His fastball and cutter are still what’s holding him back but they were better pitches than usual today, and he really used the changeup and especially the slider to keep hitters off balance all day.
