CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Why do you want to make me cry? The strike of 1994 ruined Mack's MLB career. In my opinion he was the 2nd best hitter on our team in 1991' date=' although Chili can make a strong argument for that distinction.[/quote']Also Hrbek's last season cut short. As long as we're going for tears.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Time to end Scott Downs' reign of terror against the Twins. -- ok, maybe later. Later's good too.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Time to end Scott Downs' reign of terror against the Twins. Downs is a negative last name... Not just negative but plural as well.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 That is actually pretty cool. Do you remember any of the star Japanese players or cast away Americans playing in Japan at that time?Kaz Matsui, Dice-K, Alex Cabrera were three during my time there. Matsuzaka was a pretty big star.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I might make it home before the game is over
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Matsuzaka was a pretty big star. The legend of the gyro-ball!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Jason Marquis wasn't a choice on the Twitter poll?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 I might make it home before the game is over O' Hare is a pretty small airport. You just might.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I might make it home before the game is overYou might make it home before the 7th inning is over.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Also Hrbek's last season cut short. As long as we're going for tears. It's a little bit different. Hrbek was 34 years old and chose beer over baseball. I would have done the same thing. In a way I did. I am 38 years old and I chose beer over working when I was 34 years old, but I was a janitor at a few White Castle locations. Damn it is nice to collect SSI for having a mental illness... at least that is what the government thinks.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I actually might fall asleep before either
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Who said white man can't jump
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Pfft.... Doumit in RF.... "jumping"
snepp Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Well, this game's in the bag, see you tomorrow.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Well, this game's in the bag, see you tomorrow.Other mods, can we get a ban?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 People showed up for the 7:00 start time and figured, "WTH, I'll stick around anyway." Come for the midwest start time, stay for the dishes of hot nuts.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 First time I've ever seen one of those magnetic titanium necklaces work.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Damn it As Faith No More once Stated: "What Is It"?
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Samwell is tipping his pitches. He chomps on a ball gag when he throws the curveball.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Kaz Matsui, Dice-K, Alex Cabrera were three during my time there. Matsuzaka was a pretty big star. Thanks Chief.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Other mods, can we get a ban? He's already gone. Nothing left to ban.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 That looked ugly from Doumit, but there really wasn't much he could do. It would have been almost impossible for him to know where that ball was going to end up, and if it's a few feet lower, he catches it, or if it's a foot closer to the foul pole, he might be able to snag it and rob a potential HR.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I don't know about anyone else, but I get the impression Deduno blew his wad that inning.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Deduno, I love that crazy son of a b***h!!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Samwell is tipping his pitches. He chomps on a ball gag when he throws the curveball. This one should go in your signature. That one was extra funny!!!
big dog Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Sam Deduno, a leadoff triple and no runs scored. This guy's like the best ride at ValleyFair. You might be too scared to ride, but if you do it's gonna be exciting.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I imagine watching Deduno pitch is the nearest thing to Dock Ellis on acid that I will ever see.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Deduno just a gamer! Easily the most entertaining Twins player of the past decade.
