I honestly think it's more that he needs more seasoning in St Paul and we have no choice but to have him up here at the moment.  This was why I was advocating the Mlodzinski thread earlier today that he could provide both short- and long-term assistance to the team.  At least he seems to be able to face major league pitching at the moment.

The answer is much more than you want him to since he is not on the 40-man.  If he was, he likely would have been up here already.  Something about an impending work stoppage has got everyone scared?

I don't disagree with you there.  It's more of a reality statement that, since he is not on the 40-man, they do not have to rush him up here no matter how many hits or home runs he gets in St. Paul.

It's a rule TC is testing out in AAA to see if they want to implement in MLB.

Yet other teams have been calling up their younger players whether on the 40 man or not.  They need to put the best team out there and right now that means Culpepper at short.  I am not giving any slack to the Twins for this non move, it is starting to be management malfeasance.
