For me, I'm not worried so much about the Twins rushing prospects (or not) as I am about the constant injuries in AAA. For Rodriguez and Jenkins, it seems like they have spent more time being hurt than they have playing. As we've seen with Lewis and Buxton, that can follow a player for a long time.

I'm excited for Mendez but he's only 22 with 80 plate appearances in AAA. Calling him up now probably does more harm than good.

The Twins have clearly thought about clearing a spot for Culpepper with Lee permanently moving to SS. That move will happen sooner rather than later.

So I guess that leaves Gonzalez. Could argue that with Kreidler and even Clemens (!!!) getting some run in centerfield, you can jettison Outman and give the young guy a chance.

But otherwise, there's really no one banging on the door in St. Paul or Wichita.

I do think the Twins have been more willing to get the young arms up to the majors and two of them (Abel / Rojas) are already dealing with injuries.

Why not give Fedko a shot, he can't be worse than Outman and he has at least played CF in the minors unlike Clemens.  What do we have in Sabato, don't you want to know if you have something at some point. Would he be worse than Bell  Otherwise we are going to see the same type of roster next year, just different names.  This roster is not constructed, be honest and make moves to move forward.  And don't rely on depth guys to fill the 26 man roster next year.

Those are just two examples, of course Culpepper is another that should be up here.

I'd like to see Lawyerson, no clue if his rehab stint is done or not.

I forgot that he was on rehab, yes he would be more preferable.

Morris is not (yet) a strike out pitcher and he induces a ton of weak/broken bat contact. Defense matters in this case and we see it too often.

Brooks Lee to third base was a good move for defensive reasons. He is way better there and better than the previous occupants. Shortstop remains tough and Buck being a DH puts the team in a rough spot in CF.

Majors--  Buck-Lee- for sure   Martin-  Luke - Larnach all 80%   Clemens-Bell-  Caratini  = 60%   I love the Twins  but something has to start showing us what the Plan is !!    for position players !!

I like your thoughts, but Bell should be at 20% and Clemens as a bench piece playing 3 or 4 days would be a more valuable player.

I think management is real happy with the success that they’ve had so far this year and are tricking themselves into believing that it can continue. They don’t want to rock the boat and jeopardize that. Of course, all of us know it can’t continue.

The American League being so bad doesn't help the Twins management's mindset either.

That is also true. And even if by some force of the baseball gods, the twins hang around 500 for the year it is just gonna be temporary. They still have got to do something with this roster. Have to bring up the young guys up or signing some people and spending some money (right, sure)!

iF Larnach cant provide  OCCASIONAL  Power  ,  you look at him and he should be a 20 plus homer player   Another 1st round pick  !!

They don’t have to trick themselves. The annual objective is to trick the fan base.

And that’s pretty easy to do in these parts, apparently.
