I'm really hoping for a trade down.  I think we could deal back 10ish slots, still get a good player, and pick up a chance at another good player in the 70-90 range.

I’d like to trade down two spots with the Cowboys. Because right before the Steelers seems like the spot some dumb team might trade up for Ty Simpson. If you could get the Jets or Browns 2027 1st…….

I do think one of Lemon, Tyson, or Tate will be there at 18 for us to draft... As well as Cooper Jr. The 2 safeties Thieneman and EMW was available. When I was picking all of the DT were on the board. I think any of the WR is our true BPA. I love Ponds at CB and Logan Jones at C. Claiborne has had a visit(s) with the org.

Lemon would be a fun pick. Don't let the door hit ya' on the way out Addison.

My bet is he'll be gone by then, but this could end up being a super heavy defensive draft early, so who knows.

I think I'm out on Tyson at this point. If I'm fair, my issues with drafting injured CBs has to transfer to the other side of the ball too. Injured WRs also hardly play, and can't play effectively if they do. Especially when it's soft tissue stuff like Tyson's hamstring issues. I've also started to hear concerns about his effort, willingness and competitiveness, but NOT from the media who tend to leak team-fed misinformation to try to tank the players draft stock. I've been hearing this listing to dynasty fantasy football nerds who break down every play.

If the Vikings end up grabbing a RB, I think I'm down to Jonah Coleman and  Kaytron Allen. Allen in particular does not fit the pass-catching, quick burst back that I want in the long term, but from what I can tell, these are the only two guys worth a damn when it comes to pass protection, and if you can't pass protect, I don't think you're getting on the field for the Vikings this year. Maybe there are others who could be good at this skill, but I'm not finding scouting reports suggesting this.

I've heard the same things and that does concern me as well. The thing about Tyson that still intrigues me is he balled out against highly ranked opponents. So I think he does rise to the occasion...

When I did a deeper dive into Jonah Coleman, he looks like a Jordan Mason/Alex Mattison type of back. Bruiser type that will break tackles and get yards after contact. A good 1B in a committee, but I wouldn't trust him to be our 1A.

Nope. and Allen is even more of a pure thumper. I don't want anyone (well, one guy....) in this draft class as the long term RB. But if they do grab someone, and they might be desperate enough to do it, the guy has to pass block or it will be a wasted pick because those guys always end up struggling to get on the field.

And funny, I just saw Tyson had his workout in front of 20 teams. The Vikings were not one of them.
