Could 2025 Twins Execute a 2018-Style MLB Trade Deadline Re-Tool?

MSP should let the Twins leave if the billionaires that own them try to extort the local government like they have previously and the Athletics did to Oakland.

Alright, here's my suggestion for a retool at the deadline (yes, this is for fun but trying to be semi-reasonable)

1 - Trade Willie Castro, Columbe and Ty France to San Fran for 1B Bryce Eldridge and Trent Harris

2 - Trade Johan Duran to the Cubs for OF Kevin Alcantara and SP Jack Neely

3 - Trade Harrison Bader to Cardinals for C Jimmy Crooks

4 - Trade Chris Paddack to Brewers for 1B/3B Luke Adams

And lastly?  You call up those crazy Padres and see if they'd trade C Salas and P Bradley Rodriguez for Correa.

My pipedream totally retools the team in a balanced, athletic way!

Appreciate actual suggestions.

#1.  San Fran would want the same return for Eldridge as the Twins would for Walker Jenkins. This one I actually know. Love to have a smooth first baseman though. How about Joe Ryan and Charlee Soto for Nick Kurtz.

#2. The Cubs may do this trade and it is pretty fair. I would wonder if Paddack, Castro, and a milb sp from A ball would be enough for Alcantara. Make an attempt to entice Arizona to send Jordan Lawler in return for Jhoan Duran and Bader with the Twins paying for Bader's salary.

#3.  I like this, but the Cards say no.

#4. The Brewers have better pitchers in the minors. Try asking if they will exchange Jeferson Quero for Brooks Lee.

Sadly, the Padres are watching their cash drawer more closely these days. Correa is ours until his contract expires.

With a couple of more moves, the Twins could be in business.

In reality, the Twins front office loves the current roster so things will stay the same unless July is worse than June.

All five deals look great.  Maybe a little too good and does Correa really have any excess value?  I just don't see anyone giving up a premium prospect unless the twins eat a bunch of salary.  Would Correa waive his no trade without considerable compensation?  If I were trading for Correa, I would not give up much more than taking on his salary.

Do you believe any team would take on Correa's contract at all, even without sending a player to the Twins?

Also, Bryce Eldridge would cost the Twins Joe Ryan plus.

No idea.  He's still good defensively and someone might buy-in to a bounceback.

Not likely but possible.  I think there could be a team that believes the 1st half of this year does not reflect who he will be going forward given his track record.  The takeaway and I believe your point is that they are not getting much back.
