Funny how OSU fans wanted to fire Ryan Day after the Michigan game.

Even funnier that even if they win the championship, those same fans will still want him fired.

There was a report a few days ago that some other university offered Quinn Ewers $6 million to transfer. Do it buddy. That’s the most amount of money you’ll make playing football

As disappointed as I am with Ewers, calling a toss sweep in the shotgun from the half yard line is an all time bad play call.

Concur.  It's easy to second guess any particular play.  But some plays put the game on the line that very moment, while a better choice leaves you the chance to try again if it fails.  It was a gamble that forced them to try pass plays only, after that.  Bad gamble.

Lost in that whole botched goal line stand; even if they scored, Texas was going to leave OSU way too much time to march down and win it. I was already pretty confident it was going to end with a 35 yard field goal.

The biggest difference between college and professional football. A pro QB recognizes what’s about to happen and either calls a timeout or audibles out of that play if they’re a savvy veteran. Ewers and the team was blindly following the call from the HC. Ohio State wasn’t fooled one bit.

They may call a time out, and the good pro QBs may recraft the play but I think there are still a lot who run the play as the coach calls and only move to the prescribed audibles if available and if exact criteria are met. Only a handful say, 'this is a stupid play, we're doing it my way instead'.

Not coincidentally, those are the QBs I want on my team.

I've long had an issue with how poorly coached and prepared college linemen are.

Wow was that on display.  Texas could have put out orange cones at tackle and had a better chance of tripping Jack Sawyer last night.  Sawyer wasn't even doing much to win those matchups....just god awful technique by the OL.

So Wisconsin went and broke the transfer portal. Most of this is conjecture from PFT, but I don't know how you can argue with it.

Wisconsin told this kid he can't leave (because of course they did, Wisconsin thinks they're soooo entitled) so the kid just called a lawyer who said, 'so what, they don't own you', he unenrolled and went to Miami. There is no way they, or any other school can stop this from happening. A transfer portal window? That's not legal, these kids can leave you school in the middle of October if they really want to.

Nice work Badgers. That was the only safeguard from the richest 12 or so schools from getting every player they want at will.

Your friendly reminder that there is no worse fan base (not even Philly!) than Notre Dame.

They've even managed to get me to root for Ohio freaking State.

Weep for me.  I married an Irish-Catholic from Chicago.  😀

Notre Dame doesn’t have a prayer of coming back in this game

Is it possible that every player on OSU's offense is better than the counterpart offensive player on ND's offense? I think they are.
