I guess injured relievers of the 6.00+ ERA variaty now get 7.5M, as demonstrated by Jordan Romano signing with the Phillies:

Ugh, not happy Cleveland got out from under one of their poor decisions. That upcoming contract looks really, really bad for a glove only (mostly) 2B.

Yeah, that's a lot to give up for a corner bat with only modest power numbers.

Not sure what Toronto is thinking either. Was Toronto ONLY looking at Gimenez's 2022 numbers?!? Come 2027 this guy will be making 23M per year through 2029!
