I just think he wouldn't have performed very well here. We get flashes, but there's something missing in the way we draft, develop or coach that would lead to a hugely productive season from a young rookie. When's the last time the Twins had a legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate? Chuck Knoblauch 1991
thelanges5 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Padres ownership and FO talk about winning and then act like they mean it. Sports is entertainment. You give the fans something and they give it back. That something can be wins, moves, trades etc. Joe talks about his “business” so much you can tell it is about the $$$ for him. Spend money to make money, invest in your product! Give is a reason to show up and buy merchandise. p.s. please make it so I can watch games in IA!

Wisely is NOT acquiring a veteran Gallo who has hit under .200 the 3 seasons previously and has a lifetime batting Average under .200. Wisely is NOT acquiring pitchers that had 1 good season in their career, thinking they will replicate that 1 good season again, when their normal performance every year is NOT good.. Wisely is not having to roster 2 players for 1 position because you mistakenly gave a 6 year contract to a player that can't play more than half a season at a time and has proven it over his career to that point. Wisely is seeing other clubs back out on a player that they think is injury prone and doing the same instead of doing the opposite. Wisely is or is not Blake Snell. Jordan Montgomery. Jorge Polanco. You don't know until you know.

Lee has put up better numbers in the minors and is older and it seems people on here think he needs more time in the minors. It seems quite a few people on here think every Twins prospect is the exception to the rule and not rule. I mean people on here have compared EROD to Soto and at EROD's age he was a ROY and 3 time top 10 MVP.

Try again. Snell and Montgomery were never in the Twins radar due to cost. Polanco was a payroll cut. As far as knowing......... they did know what they were getting with the players I named and did it anyway. All were mistakes.
