Just saw the replay.  Hit was clean no D helmet involved and Tua went head first which was dumb and totally his choice.  He's to small to be doing that.

That really sucks to see him seize up again on National TV. If he does come back, they should probably mandate him wearing the guardian helmet. Assuming they’re actually effective in preventing concussions.

Is it legal to wear one of those in a real counts in the standings game?

Dalton should be washed up, yet still seems like a situation where he's going to go out there next week and throw for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

I'm only surprised at this move because reports last year were that the owner was the one pushing for Young, but he threw everyone else under the bus instead of owning up to it.

I guess as I type that out, him not owning up to it is probably his self justification for allowing the move to Dalton.

Honestly,  it's probably better for him. Let him sit, hopefully he learns stuff. QB is too hard to step in on day one and be successful. Manning and Burrow are the exceptions.

This thing of immediately playing rookies is only about 15 or so years old. You can see why guys used to sit the bench a couple years. Couple qb’s having a career resurgence were started immediately and struggled terribly. Darnold and (for longer) Mayfield. I feel bad for Young (as a player). For every rookie phenom like stroud, there are several duds. Some guys just need more time to learn and develop, but their teams are ready to move on by year 2.

I don't know, of the starting QBs in the league, even if they weren't studs out of the gate, most at least showed competence. Goff is maybe the only guy who looked completely lost but was able to at least become competent with his original club. Guys like Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence had struggles, but Allen could do things with his legs and Lawrence was willing and able to air it out. There was excitement for both after their rookie years.

There's too much baggage in Carolina. I think they'd be foolish to go back to him ever unless Dalton goes down this year.

With Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield and (knock on wood) Sam Darnold, we've seen the path from busted prospect to resurrection quite a bit recently, and all roads run through a different city.

They didn't play WR or other rookies back in the day either. It was about rookies being in their place....It's certainly possible a QB should sit for half a year or full year, but I'm not sure it is necessary. Frankly, Young was a fine player, but never should have been taken this high at all. 

There just are NOT 30 starting QBs on the planet, at some point, you gotta play that young guy and see if he's possibly one of them.

Sirianni is absolutely detestable the way he acts on the sidelines. Perfect coach to represent Philly fans.

There is almost zero chance they lose...even in that awful prevent....if they just hand the ball to Saquan.  Or run an option play with Hurts as an alternate ball carrier.  

I never would've thought Sirianni was a coach on the chopping block this soon, but here we are.  The dude may not make it to midseason at this rate.

There were rumblings last year  about his job after they fell apart in the second half. They don’t give a long leash down there
