Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 P.S.: Pardon my French. Yeah, they're not the Expos any more.
AZTwinsFanJm Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Thank you Gardy. I was banking on you resting majority of guys for the game against Zimmerman. Have a new betting strategy and its working off so far, and usually I try to avoid the Twins game but thought this was too good to pass up. Put $100 on the Nationals this game last night before the line moved this morning. Watch, now this blows up in my face now.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Joe Mauer is not in the Twins' lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader. It's standard procedure for catcher to start just one of two doubleheader games. Ryan Doumit is behind the dish for the first game, but Mauer will be back in the for the second
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Look at Clete with a normal number 11 on his jersey. It's not number 87 or anything like that.

You saw the Angels concede the 2nd game with Bucholz yesterday, and you see the Twins essentially conceding the 1st game today against Zimmerman to have an advantage in the 2nd game.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 nothin but wimps, I remember when the SP started both games of a dh, now the dh can't play 2 games, how can Gardy manage 2 games?

So you are saying that I shouldn't watch this game?
AZTwinsFanJm Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 So you are saying that I shouldn't watch this game? No its a quality game. If you love the Twins, you can watch every game, despite knowing they aren't going to win every game. I'd say they have about 25% chance of winning this game. Thats worth watching for JMO

Top Gun Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Can't sweep a dh? Stros can sweep the Angels, what is this world comin too?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 My niece is at the game. She texted me a picture. And I have to go to work in a couple hours. Waa.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Zimmerman will never last. He's not "getting that good downward plane," and he's not pitching "down in the zone."

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Doumit missed his pitch on the 1-2 change up.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Sheesh. Handed a gift and we toss it out
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Escobar should be on third!!! If you will indulge me for a moment. (Sliding over Soapbox and getting on it) Escobar should be on third. It's the major leagues... The Thomas ball is caught 999 times out of 1000... I don't care... Half Ass it to second... You can half ass your approach at the plate and pretty soon the team has left 1,000 base runners stranded in 3 games. The Twins are playing half assed baseball and Escobar standing on 2nd with two out is just another example. Escobar should be on third.
