OK.. I've lost... Except.... Ummm...

If Florimon errored... It was an effort Error... If Morneau didn't error. It was because he was pylon esque.

I'll take the effort guy Everytime.

Maybe he thought, through effort, he could stretch enough to stay on the bag and make up for the other effort error.

I blame Morneausie for that.

Listen... If Morneau can't move two steps to knock down a bad throw... He can't move 20 steps to get to that ball hit to Dozier.

jeez Chief... Follow along will you!!!

Nats' broadcast guy: "Pressley has four pitches...fastball, slider, change, and wild pitch."

I actually think he was trying to stretch and make a play... Just like you say...

He's a vet... He knows better.

Between Florimon and Morneau on that play... Morneau was the only who had time to decide the correct play.

This is all happening because Gardy left Diamond in after 75 pitches <sarcasm>

Technique only, but it's funnier if you leave off the <sarcasm>.

With Zimmerman dealing... AZ was right... We best get ready for Game Two and the Deduno and that rhymes.

Good times?

Twins pitching prospect Alex Meyer has been placed on Double-A New Britain's disabled list due to a shoulder strain.

The Twins don't consider the injury to be serious, but obviously they'll take a cautious approach with one of their top pitching prospects. Meyer has pitched well this season at New Britain, posting a 3.69 ERA with 73 strikeouts over 61 innings

could they get a player from ROC to DC in time for tonites game if Pressley is DLd

Michael Tonkin went 2IP for ROC.....really the only option, so no

I don't know... That's a good question. I'd assume it's too soon to diagnose the injury.

However... Let's assume Pressly throws a pitch and his arm falls off his body... Obvious diagnosis... Obvious injury... Could the Twins DL and get somebody from Rochester in time for the 2nd game.

Scott Diamond was rocked by the Nationals Sunday, getting charged with seven runs -- six earned -- on 10 hits and two walks over just 4 2/3 frames.

It's arguably the worst start of the season from the southpaw. Diamond is still throwing strikes and is getting grounders at a pretty good clip, but his command hasn't been nearly as good as it was last year, and it's resulted in some ugly lines. He'll take a 5.19 ERA and 1.52 WHIP into a tough matchup against the Tigers next weekend

As someone who was at Nationals Park yesterday, I think the Twins owe an apology for embarrassing all the eager and excited Twins fans who showed up to watch 8 hours of truly pathetic baseball. Poor pitching....poor hitting....poor fielding.....poor managerial decisions....am I missing anything?

A couple comments on the managerial decisions:

1. With a lineup as mediocre as the Twins, you really have only two decisions when filling out the lineup cards for a double header.....a) You can make your best hitters play in both games (after all, they are professional athletes), or you can B) Concede one game and put all your eggs in one basket. You don't do what Gardenhire did, which is split up a mediocre lineup to create two awful line-ups.

2. I remarked to my friend that walking Werth in the 5th to load the bases was a poor decision. Of course it blew up in their faces. Why would you want to load the bases when your starter is struggling? I could see if maybe the pitcher was up next, but it was Adam LaRoched. And it was only the fifth inning. At that point it should have been about damage control.
