nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Addison's progression has been weird this year. He looked like an NFL ready starter early in the year. He seems to be making rookie mistakes every week lately though.

Solid take that I'm sure is backed up by any kind of analysis. How about asking the Texans what their draft position did for them last year? Look at the Vikings top ten picks this millennium. Yeah, there’s Adrian Peterson at 7 and Anthony Barr at 9. I also see Troy Williamson at 7 and Matt Kalil at 4. The Steelers have had exactly two top ten draft picks this millennium. How are they doing? With the amount of time some spend hoping for losses to improve draft placement, you’d think it would guarantee something.

It does, it guarantees the opportunity to draft better players. You still have to make wise decisions, but obviously if you're drafting at 18, 17 other teams get a shot to make the wise decision before you. I mean this is obvious and isn't even up for debate except in a fantasy world where math has been replaced by magic. And the Steelers haven't been close to winning a Super Bowl since the future HOF QB they drafted 11th overall no longer was an elite player. Because having an elite QB and being a perennial contender have strong correlations. Mike Sixel 1

Vikings need to win and see Pack lose, Seattle lose on the road to Arizona, and either Tampa Bay or New Orleans lose. Lots of us seem just fine having the Vikings lose and get a nicer draft position. I’m ok with that too. Win-Win! lol Preachin to the choir. They should have been actively losing 9 games ago.

If getting better draft picks was the key to success, teams like the lions and browns wouldn’t haven’t sucked eggs for decades. Ask the panthers what their great draft spot did for them last year Ask the Jets. Forever.

As a partial jets fan you should know better than anyone that losing for the sake of losing has as many failures as success stories. In any event, losing blows as a fan and I will never once pull for it. You only get 17 games to watch per season, and none of us are guaranteed to be here next year to see which quarterback we draft to back up Kirk 😉 Hosken Bombo Disco 1
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Mullens almost walked Jefferson into getting his head knocked off there. Jefferson thought he was going to get destroyed too. Got lucky there.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Sacks and penalties galore today

We've already gone over that this is not what others want. You need to stop with this accusation as it's inflammatory, untrue and attacking the character of other posters.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 If Dan Campbell had just gone for the extra point against Dallas, they possibly could be resting their starters for this second half

There is no defensive talent, and they are playing a third string QB behind a mediocre OL. This team didn't quit, that's partly the coach. I'm genuinely asking why, after two years, you've given up.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Now St Brown injured in a probably meaningless game with a two score lead. Oh lions

Reverse at the 8 yard line. Most recent reason.
