tony&rodney Verified Member Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/diamondbacks-to-sign-lourdes-gurriel-jr.html A number of people believed that Gurriel Jr. would be a decent player for the Twins, especially if Max Kepler was traded. I don't see any other bats worth signing for less than $15 million per year. Are the Twins content with the lineup as is?
NotAboutWinning Verified Member Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I believe they are. The only moves they will make will be to back-fill the pitching they've lost, and to shed payroll 🫤
Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 JD Martinez, Justin Turner, Jorge Soler, and there are others. It sucks waiting, but there are bats out there still

Maybe Turner can play some 1B, but if you believe the reports there are multiple teams in on him. Hoskins is probably the only other bat that actually plays a position. The list of viable upgrades is getting awfully short. DocBauer 1

Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I’m not saying they need one or not. But they have been connected to some this offseason
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I figured he would sign and be off the board before the Twins made any moves. Still, I was very intrigued by his coming on board for Kepler, who would be moved with Polanco...though necessarily in the same deal...to land that SP and still have a quality lineup with balance. Oh well, it was just an interesting idea. chpettit19 1
