I think Morneau needs to drink more Vitamin C or something.

When he gets the flu, he must get it REALLY bad. I seem to remember him missing almost a full week with the flu a couple of years ago.

You'd figure Big Canadians would be tougher. Tie Domi would never get the flu... He'd look the flu in the eye and the flu would leave him alone in fear and go attack Alex Trebek.

Everyone is going to get the flu every now and then. I just can't recall anyone I've ever met who has needed more than 1 day off of work due to it.

It's not something that is fun to work through, that's for sure, but it's just one of those things you have to tough out and sleep all you want when you get home.

When I get the flu... I like to ask for stuff...

Honey... Could you bring me some soup?

Honey... Can you bring me a damp cloth for my head?

Honey... Could you get one of those memory foam pillows at the store?

Honey... We need a dog... could you find a Puppy? Maybe a Sheltie? Something looks like a little lassie.

Honey... Could you turn the TV about two inches to the right?

Honey... Can you read to me what Chief and Ashbury are writing on Twins Daily?

A return to the 3-catcher lineup.

Why have a guy on the roster if you don't plan to use him?

Sounds to me like you might find your soup poisoned one of these times, if you're not careful.

Fun Doumit quote in the Yahoo Sports preview:

"Some guys get up there to try to get on base. Some guys get up there to try to do some damage. I was hitting cleanup today. I was up there to do some damage.''

And with some wives, the right advice would be to drink it; but I'm sure that's not the case with Mrs. Riverbrian.

Can't stay for the game, but my other observation pre-game is that it would be nice if Diamond were to get his faecal matter together today.

She knows that simple poison wouldn't kill me. It would just get me sicker and it would continue the whining I do.

Her best bet is health as quickly as possible.

Now when she gets sick... I'm very sympathetic in return.

Ahh... Poor thing... Your not feeling good... Your temp is 104... I'm sorry honey... Don't you worry about a thing... I can wait an hour or so until we eat.

I don't think I've ever had a one day flu. I get the flu and I'm down and out for a few days. The other day I went into a store early in the aft and the worker was leaving with a replacement showing up. She said she had the flu. She looked fine to me. I really wonder if these folks who say they have the flu one day and are fine the next really know what the flu is.

Did your wife ever go on Complete Bed Rest when carrying your boys? That is a phrase to strike fear in any man's heart.

Thats been my experience... I'm rarely sick myself... But when I get sick... I'm really good at it.

I get really sick... My Flu is a power flu... Multiple days... I could win awards.

That wasn't what I meant.

I just meant in the real world most people suck it up and manage to get through the work day, then rest up after.

I get that pro sports is not a 'regular' job, so I'll stop now.

Not in our case.

I could imagine... It would be a very powerless feeling.

We haven't been the same since SARS......Tie Domi is part Gorilla, immune to human flu viruses. Either that or he doesn't know the difference between the flu and the permanent concussion he has.

Not at all. She loved it.

I must have read that wrong... For 9 months... I was a wreck... If a Dr. Would have prescribed Bed Rest... I would have asked the Dr. To move in with us.

I've always assumed that Canadians rarely report having the flu because:

A. Constant Cold Weather builds up the immune system

B. Lack of human hygiene builds up the immune system.

C. Hangovers every morning can feel like the flu so when they actually get the flu... They can't tell the difference.

People who drink continuously don't get hangovers.

In fact, they get reverse hangovers. They feel awful if they wake up after a night of being sober.

I'm going need some experienced confirmation.

Hey North... Is this true?

I must have read that wrong...

I didn't put a smiley face on it that time, but when it doubt, if you think you read it wrong, I was joking.

This saves me from when I type something flat out wrong.* "I was joking. Duh."

/ * Yes, this means I'm joking all the time.

LOL... Pregnancy was the thing that freaked me out most in my life... It was seriously 9 months of me soaking in worry and everything went perfectly fine.

Once my sons were born... I threw them around... I let them put pennies in the outlet... I didnt worry much anymore.

But... The pregnancy part. I was a wimpy piece of jelly.

I'm excited to watch Bonderman today. I love watching these guys that haven't pitched in a few years try to make comebacks like Bonderman, Chris Young, Kazmir, Harden, etc.

One of my fondest Metrodome memories was of Bondmerman carrying a one hitter into the eighth and then getting Dome-balled into a loss with a bunch of choppers and then him melting down and kicking the water cooler in the dugout.

I agree... Baseball has tons of sub plots that make the game beyond interesting for me.

I'm also excited to watch Herrmann play. He has to be gulping a bit.
