At what point do we find a new hitting. Coach?

Sad part is they have two hitting coaches AND an assistant hitting coach.

The more I watch the twins the more impressed I am they've won this many games, the approach at the plate is atrocious. Swinging at more balls in the dirt than they watch and watching more balls in the zone than they swing at.

Their minor leaguers are struggling too. It’s gotta be a system thing. Sometimes good coaching is less coaching but i don’t know what’s going on here

No bounce. Apparently Correa has figured out it gets there faster if he doesn't bounce it. I hope.

Any coaches out here, who actually spend time firing one-hoppers at fielders? I would have loved if my T-ball coach had done that for me

It’s kind of a strategy for not throwing wildly, but much harder to handle

I'm not usually one of these Rocco haters but he needs to stop pinch hitting Willi freaking Castro for any player that can actually hit. I don't care if he gives you some slight platoon advantage on paper. Kirilloff is a far better hitter and now you're stuck with Castro in the lineup for the rest of the game.

And now we could have potentially had Kirilloff up in a huge spot against a righty, but we get..... Castro.

Yeah I don't hate the bounce, you pretty much guarantee every ball is catchable. If you misfire high it's a short hop or knee high instead of in right field and and a long hop is no harder than a throw across chest high.

I wasn't my boys' coach, but I would play catch with them all the way through Pony League (maybe it was Babe Ruth League), and bounce it with a short hop all the time. They asked for it, too. Good practice.

Unfortunately. Buxton has trouble beating out fly balls and strikeouts, which is mostly what he hits.

Yet another game with a whole lot of gross incompetence at the plate, resulting in a loss.

Unfortunately, we've been saying that a lot recently.  And no apparent end in sight.
