For the best trade I gotta go with Sonny Gray for Chase Petty. Any time you can get two years of a solid mid to top rotation starter for a #10 prospect, you do it. 

For worst, I'm going with Ryan Pressley. It was a dumb trade at the time and has only gotten worse with age. They threw in the towel on the season and gave up a quality arm that they still had under team control for another season. Alcala and Celestino were not top prospects.

Certainly the Pressley trade made me the angriest of any trade. It was interesting how almost as soon as Pressley walked into Houston, they handed him the ball and said, "You're the closer." They have never wavered from that position and have been reaping the benefits ever since. The Twins seemed unwilling to be patient with Pressley. He had a couple of bad outings as the closer and was quickly designated to the Ron Davis job, which clearly frustrated him. (I saw him pitch against a poor Angels team and was stunned that the catcher kept calling for breaking balls. I'll never forget that game because he came in for one inning and out of the first 16 pitches, 14 were breaking balls. He ended up walking one and then after about five straight breaking balls in a row, he happened to hang one to someone who had like one home run on the year and was hitting like .210. I shook my head because clearly his stuff was dynamic. He then struck out Trout on three straight fast balls.)
