I suppose Arcia needs a day off once in a while, but....BOO! He's got to learn to hit lefty pitching sometime. Oh well, this smells like a series win for the good guys...

...That's the Twins, for all you negative posters on this board :banghead:

Somebody has to sit every game between C, DH, 1B, RF, and LF. Giving Arcia a day when Parmelee has been better vs. LH pitching than RH pitching makes some sense. I would like to see CP get it going because it would make it clearer that Morneau is expendable. Early in the season I thought Parm was hitting in tough luck, but lately he has not made much good contact.

I'm on board with you man. It has been a tough road for MN sports fans though.

I now know that I have spent too many time on Vikings' discussion boards when CP is more closely associated with Cordarrelle Patterson and Christian Ponder than Chris Parmelee in my mind.

Who wants ribs? I've got 6 racks coming off the smoker in 2 hours.

Blade in Boston butt here. Quite a day to get the smoker humming.

Here's a rose-colored glasses view for you: 1) The Vikings made the playoffs 2) The Wild made the playoffs 3) The Timberwolves won more games than in a single season than they had in any of the last five years and 4) Minnesota Gophers won an NCAA game for the first time in over a decade. 5) The Twins are several games ahead of their previous pace in 2011 or 2012.

The Twins gave me 2 World Series, for which I am eternally grateful. After 45 years of Viking fandom, they owe me a Super Bowl big time. If that happens I'll die a happy dude. That and I want to watch my daughter win a gold medal in the Olympics in 2016.

OK, you got me doin' the Wave. :jump:

Oh and nice to see the Hammer back in the lineup.

Dickbert spasms at a routine fly, but no reaction whatsoever on a ball that's crushed.

What grade are you in?

Just finished kindergarten, first year of coach-pitch/t-ball. You should see me run around in circles trying to figure out which base to throw to.

Kidding, My coaching career began with T-ball and culminated in the sixth grade St Paul Catholic school championship.

If I make it through the summer without drop-kicking any 6-year-olds I'll consider it a resounding success.

I have daughters, so I coached girls. My leadoff hitter and center fielder used to borrow my car keys before every game so she could use my rear view mirror to apply her makeup.

Yikes.

I'll stick with the kid that insists on filling his glove with sand and then using it as a catapult.
