denarded Verified Member Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I live in Illinois and make it up once a year to watch a weekend and love going to Cuzzy's. Their breakfast has saved me from the damage I do postgame at the C/W bar that I think has now closed. Met Hrbek there and asked bartender if it was ok to talk to him. He said yeah and I went to talk 91 WS with him. To the disgust of his wife and and daughter. Anywhooo....Phil Cuzzy Sucks
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Maybe it's because working Twins games reminds him that he is bad at umpiring. (I was going to post a link to you-know-which-call but we have all seen it anyway.)

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Umpire Scorecards is a great Twitter follow BTW. Yesterday, Cuzzi cost the Twins one run in a game they lost by one run. Awesome job, Phil. https://twitter.com/UmpScorecards/status/1390685125105446913

The Overall Consistency of Phil Cuzzi sucking is 100%. If there was a God, s/he would not allow Phil Cuzzi to work Twins games.

Seemed like it was one per plate appearance.1/10 is pretty bad but Cuzzi really maximized those bad calls yesterday, which surely impacted our mental image of what was happening on-field. Because every bad call really seemed to sting, as they so often happened in key spots.
BeatTheRich Verified Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 I feel for Miguel Sano. The guy is trying to establish that he knows the strike zone, he's laying off the outside pitches, but he has Phil Cuzzi behind him calling balls and strikes. Pitches six inches outside are being called strikes. Better swing, Miguel, because... Phil Cuzzi.
