The World Series is over. There will not be any Major League Baseball until spring training. It is 5 months until Opening Day. From April through October, the prime time schedule was booked with Twins games or other baseball options.

So, now that there isn't baseball... what are you watching on TV? I'm always looking for advice on this topic.

I have kind of forgotten what night certain shows are on, so let me know what you're watching.

Me? I know on Wednesday nights, I'll be watching a lot of SyFy, with Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Witness. I'm officially a big fan of Parenthood. Big Bang Theory is on Thursday nights now, but it's also on (4 straight episodes!!) on TBS throughout the week. Of course, Friends is on Nick at Night or something like that from 10-12 each night. Monday nights I do like Two Broke Girls and How I Met Your Mother. Obviously I'll be watching Vikings games on Sundays and my fantasy football rosters will keep me interested in the NFL Games. I'm contemplating watching more NBA games. If Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love were healthy, I'd probably watch most of the Wolves games. I like the History Channel. And yes, I enjoy the signings shows, in moderation. So, help me out... What shows should I be watching, in your opinion?

What shows should I watch on:

Other than some of the shows you have already mentioned, Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 I watch American Pickers and Pawn Stars on the History Channel. Sunday at 10:00 I watch Homeland on Showtime. Homeland is a serial and there has already been four episodes this season so it may be hard to pick up. Other than those two nights I look forward to Gopher basketball and hockey games.

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food network. Several episodes on Monday Nights and scattered episodes through the week. The only family shows I watch semi-regularly during the week are The Middle and Modern Family.

I use my DVR--I love true crime shows--so I record shows off the ID Channel like Paula Zahn, Nightmare Next Door, Sins and Secrets...I now have about 20 episodes to watch over the off season. I do watch football on Sundays (I am a Jets fan) and the scattered Monday and Thursday night. My wife loves Castle and Mentalist (sometimes they are pretty good).

If you get Showtime and have Comcast, you can go back and watch all of "Homeland" from the beginning On Demand. It's fantastic. I believe there were 10-12 episodes in season 1 and the 5th episode of Season 2 just aired on Sunday.

Catching up on Boardwalk Empire (pretty good), watching Arrow (surprisingly good) and Revolution (feels a bit like Lost:Redux, not necessarily a bad thing). I'm also part way through Once Upon A Time, which is great take on fantasy (a little too much Disney mixed in for my liking but still fun to watch).

I'm also following my old stand-by shows in Parks & Rec, Castle, and a couple others.

I am reading this book Game of Thrones by George R R Martin. Not a t.v. show but it is a page turner!

Only 6,000 more pages to go! I loved those books but beware of *******s that ruin things, like telling you what the red wedding is.

Seth, the wife and I enjoy "Go On" and "Haven." We're also watching a lot of the new Dr. Who on dvd. Nerdy but a lot of fun. Amy Pond is wonderful. :-)

Meh on Amy Pond. She's adorable but pretty worthless as a character. Give me Martha any day. She was a total bad-ass who wore a tight leather jacket like nobody's business.

Konnichiwa and Ohaiyou Gozaimasu! Now that I live in Japan - I have been watching a television program where humans french kiss/make out with animals (domestic pets... some exotic) called "kiss ****e". Just to be cleared it is pronounced more like "c-te". I am not sure what day it is on, as I am not sure what day it is. If you can find it - I can assure you it is an awesome family viewing experience.

I, while no longer having cable, have really gotten hooked on USA. While all of the shows that I usually watch on the network are on holiday right now, Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar, and NCIS are all pretty good and are shows that (with the exception of Psych) have a fairly good plot (downside: you have to start at the beginning to understand most of the references.)

I definitely don't have time for regular TV watching but I watch a similar lineup of crime dramas. Since I'm in Taiwan I mostly get those that are a year or so old but I haven't watched a lot of TV in the last 5+ years. Some of the shows are difficult since you really need to catch every episode like you say. White Collar and Suits (recommended) are two more recent shows (only 2-3 seasons) that I really like. I think Psych and NCIS are the only two shows (ever) that I've watched every episode of (until the latest seasons). Psych - I watched 5 straight seasons of with a Spanish speaking now ex-gf since it's easy to understand even if you don't understand every word.

I've been hoping to watch more football (both NFL and NCAA) this year because I am really disconnected from it but I'm gone almost every weekend traveling.
