SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Me thinks Perez is headed to a different role with this ball club when Pineda returns.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 This is an odd start for a pitcher hoping not to be relegated to the bullpen.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Good thing the pen is rested...Yep
mendozaline Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Get me over fastballs on the first pitch.....good plan
JW24 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Perez attacking the Braves with 92, down the middle, at the belt, is probably not what the scouting report recommended...
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Braves hitters aggressive , both HR's on the 1st pitch
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Four batters, two outs, two home runs. .500 is a pretty good percentage, right?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Hope Nelson is still in Cruz mode.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Hopefully the bats came to play today
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I really wish the Twins got a SP at the deadline
Dakota15 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 If we want a shot at this game, we have to pull Perez soon
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Is this a replay from last night? We're not in a rain delay and CCO decided to air last night's game to fill time right?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 OK then, six batter, four hits.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Perez is awful Yeah, his triumphant return was clearly smoke and mirrors. Had a few nice outings early in the year but honestly this guy is EXACTLY the same guy who went 1-6 with a 6.54 ERA for Texas last year. A scrap heap bum. Thing is he's been very bad out of the pen as well. No options either. Twins are in a tough spot with him and don't want to cut bait. If they don't though, you see what happens.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 If we want a shot at this game, we have to pull Perez soon And deplete the BP for the Cleveland series? I don't know if that's the move
Jake24 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Yeah we didn't need any help at the deadline...
bighat Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 If we want a shot at this game, we have to pull Perez soon And have the 'pen burned up for the Cleveland series? Perez has put the Twins in a terrible spot here.
SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Remember that sweet cutter that Perez developed that turned him into a front line starter? Or how his mechanics look like Johan Santana's? Good times.

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Perez against the 7 above .500 teams he's faced; 38.1 IP (less than 5.2/start), 4.69 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 6.6 k/9, 3.3 bb/9
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 This is most likely the World Series matchup....
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Perez is awfulYou can say that again!!!!!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 If Perez goes 5 scoreless from here on out he's still giving us a quality start. Bats will jump on Fried
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 This is most likely the World Series matchup....Will we have home field?
SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 If Perez goes 5 scoreless from here on out he's still giving us a quality start. Bats will jump on Fried Yeah, that isn't happening (Perez going 5 scoreless).
