Game Thread-Braves @ Twins-8/6/19 7:10 PM Central Time

[Bandit34]

Whatever Sano did to resurrect his career, Schoop needs to do the same thing.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Well that run hurt! Hopefully the Twins will come out firing tomorrow and win this series.

Might not have hurt so much if there weren't already 11 others...

What y'all been doing here?

I gotta do everything myself?

Go Twins! Let's take back that lead!

This shortstop needs to stop making good plays

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Searzak... Now that's a name i have not heard in a long time...

[DiscGolfer]

Kepler needs a bomba, hasn't had one in a while

or all game tonight

This shortstop needs to stop making good plays

And he's the 3rd shortstop they've played this season

[ashbury]

We have successively substituted Sano -> Schoop -> Cron at first base, via forceouts, and I'm not sure in any of these cases whether the baserunning potential has increased or decreased. They're all pretty slow runners, I'm saying.

[DiscGolfer]

ok, little more work to be done in the 9th

just setting the stage for a big game tying blast for Sano

Whatever Sano did to resurrect his career, Schoop needs to do the same thing.

He has no chance of doing that. Sano is patient and he has good eyes. Schoop has no discipline at the plate. And he never will.

Cave gets on base, Cruz hits a 2 run bomb. Rosario, Garver and Arraez get on, Sano hits a grand slam and then Schoop follows up with a walk off bomba.

[Bandit34]

Of the three games in the Atlanta series, this one I was most worried about. Hopefully, Perez has a great game tomorrow and we take 2 out of 3 against a solid Braves team.

Is the infield fly rule still a thing?  I haven't seen that call all year I don't think.

Nice reverse jinx.

Hope the game goes long enough for it to ripen.

Sure is. But instances to call it are rare. Need less than 2 outs and at least 2 runners forced.

For nostalgia's sake, i declare it time for the conga line.

Times have changed and if a different dance is prefered, that is okay too.

[DiscGolfer]

Yay! It's the Braves Sam Dyson

[DiscGolfer]

hmm

[ashbury]

I missed seeing any mention - why was Polanco removed from the game?

I've spotted at least two differences so far this inning.

I think the Twins were down by 8 at the time

[jz7233]

Twins hitters are trying to hit the most homers in a season. Winning is also important. Hit the homers when it matters or just get a hit.

[DiscGolfer]

well, it'll have to happen tomorrow now

[MNT1996]

Well 7-12 looks a lot better than 0-11
