Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 We made it a contest at the end of the game. Should give momentum for tomorrow hopefully.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Good night, all. Thanks for keeping it sane.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I missed seeing any mention - why was Polanco removed from the game?Too many runs behind. I think Rocco pretty much gave up then.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Are there any memes about what happened? Oh well. We clawed our way back to 5 down. Not chicken scratch.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Twins hitters are trying to hit the most homers in a season. Winning is also important. Hit the homers when it matters or just get a hit.We lose 12-7, and Twins hitting homers is the problem. Hope for a better game outcome tomorrow.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I'd really like to see De Aza get a chance with the Twins soon. Has MLB experience and would probably produce more than Cave.

jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 7.Too bad Atlanta scored 12 runs and had a big 6 run inning. Atlanta only had 2 homers.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Cruz is a monster. Again he had a great game.

Atlanta only had 2 homers. imagine how many more runs they could have had if they knew how to hit bombas! When you score 7 and lose, hitting is not your problem, just saying.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 When you are down by 11 runs, it would be better to string hits together to get a few big innings for a chance to fight back. When you are down by 11 runs in the sixth you lose 99.9% of the time no matter what your offensive plan is. Is this really a hill to die on? The offense's strategy did not lose this game. Why not celebrate that this team does not quit? They fought back, and you are quibbling about how they went about it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 "Never give up, never surrender!" And at least the next game is a day game, so we don't have as long tk wait...
