Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I like the classic TC. What's that thing on Tampa's hat?Their classic "TB" got eaten by a phosphorescent bat...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Let's eat Grandma!Let's eat, Grandma!Punctuation. It matters. The first sentence is much more entertaining.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Seven runs in and the Rays' starter is still pitching. That sends a message.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 There is a very specific set of skills necessary to be considered an Ace. I don't know what they are but the debate over it has been going on for generations. Well, Twins fans are clambering for an Ace, but, I wonder if they're missing what's going on with the current staff? Granted, it's only this year, but, it seems to me that Odorizzi is showing he may have "it." Accent on the "may."
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Thats gotta feel real good for Cron! A big FU to Tampa
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 CRON! I'm not sure you are allowed to use Bold unless it's a home run. I'll check with Ash for the rules and get back to you.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Seven runs in and the Rays' starter is still pitching. That sends a message.their creative use of their pitching staff got exposed a bit this weekend. They were short of arms already yesterday
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 The Rays are a good ball club, the Twins are better

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 CRON! I'm not sure you are allowed to use Bold unless it's a home run. I'll check with Ash for the rules and get back to you. Only one exclamation point, and not the largest font. I wasn't fooled into thinking it was homer, were you?

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 their creative use of their pitching staff got exposed a bit this weekend. They were short of arms already yesterdayThat's deep, I was fishing in shallower waters: Kevin Cash thinks this is a good offense. He could bring in a reliever, just for show, but not to achieve any different outcome. I remember watching a minor league game in Reno's old ballpark in the 90s, which was woefully small for the thin air there, where the score was something like 7-5 in about the fourth inning. Both starters were still in the game. Seemingly, the managers on both teams had shrugged their shoulders and muttered, "what ya gonna do?" Kevin Cash just shrugged.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Is it written down somewhere?unwritten rules my friend. This is baseball.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Yo, the Twins are just clappin' the Rays ... 7-rip ... Odorizzi makin' punks look like fools

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I love it , make these umps accountable
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I'm as much of a traditionalist as anyone, but I love the replay. Get it right! And I look forward to the electronic strike zone.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Odo: Lots of high fastballs, he kept pumping them in to Choi and finally put one down and in that fooled the hitter. I do notice that he is throwing a few MPH higher, but there are a lot of guys that throw as hard as Jake does and he seems to be able to get by with 75% fastballs up in the zone.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I gotta write that down. Can't do that. You'll get a brushback pitch for sure.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 You guys are a little too picky with the “rule” around here. Do you all sit on a homeowners association committee
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I'm as much of a traditionalist as anyone, but I love the replay. Get it right!Where it comes to reviewing tags on the bases, I was initially persuaded by the arguments that baseball has never nitpicked whether a guy's foot came off the bag by an inch, and why waste time by stopping the game to make a picayune call reversal. But you know what? I think the quality of slides has improved perceptibly during these past few seasons. If you enforce the rules, players adapt, sometimes for the better.
