Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I gotta write that down. Are they still unwritten rules after that? Imagine the number of unwritten rules prior to written language. Or are they just rules at that point?
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Sometimes folks clamber just to clamber. Hah! Clamoring.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 You guys are a little too picky with the “rule” around here. Do you all sit on a homeowners association committeeRaises hand, glumly.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Dick: "Another good day in Florida."Me: Yeah, but wait until they come north. It's been a good spring but the stats are zeroed out when the regular season starts.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Where it comes to reviewing tags on the bases, I was initially persuaded by the arguments that baseball has never nitpicked whether a guy's foot came off the bag by an inch, and why waste time by stopping the game to make a picayune call reversal. But you know what? I think the quality of slides has improved perceptibly during these past few seasons. If you enforce the rules, players adapt, sometimes for the better. In addition to which, if the infielder puts a tag on 1/2 inch from the bag on the way in, nobody complains about that. Why complain if the runner comes 1/2 inch off the bag?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 BTW, the net runs in this series are now 21-19 for the Twins despite the 14-3 beating on Thursday.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Can't believe Yarbrough is still pitching. Talk about sacrificial lamb.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Three double plays? Ugh, this offense is hard to root for.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 This is late, but I just noticed i have "8-3 DP" on my Twingo card. FFS. Like that will ever happen.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My sister had a dog who would jump up on the Counter and eat the King's Hawaiian. Chew right through the bag to get to it. My sister would admonish the dog and then put the replacement King's Hawaiian back on the counter and the dog would jump up on the counter and eat the bread. I suggested to my sister that maybe she should put the King's Hawaiian in a drawer where the dog couldn't reach it and it turns out that my sister enjoyed admonishing the dog. I'm starting to think Mitch Garver is your dog and the umps are the Kings Hawaiian on the counter.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 The Ray's caps are hideous, but just imagine them above the shirts that the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are wearing against the Blue Wahoos in Pensacola today:
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Good lord Jake...cut these guys some slack..im starting to feel bad for the beating he is putting on his old team

Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Move over Berrios. Odor is our ace.I'll take "Things I didn't think would be possible", for $1000, Alex
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Odorizzi seems to be taking a page from the Bartolo Colon school of pitching.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 At no point during this game did I expect Odorizzi would make it through six innings so huge kudos for him accomplishing that.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I'm starting to think Mitch Garver is your dogyeah we go way back.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 As long as we’re praising Odorizzi.. Let me point out that Odo’s start to 2019 is now as good as Pelfrey’s start to 2015! I keeed (sort of) (but mostly kidding ) Odorizzi has been fantastic
