You have to admit the middle innings have been a bitter disappointment when you consider that they were on pace to win 30-0 after three.

Plus winning 30-0 would have evened up the run differential between the first place Astros and second place Twins.

That would have also pushed our 3rd order wins up by almost 1.3, and Fangraphs would have loved us.

It's 65 degrees but I believe the roof is closed. Hasn't seemed to matter if it's open or closed this series though. I think as long as it's above 60 degrees this team can mash.

I hope they can do even better...come October/November.

 

(I can't believe that's my biggest concern these days.)

They stopped pitching from the windup.

Almost every Twins fly ball feels like it could be a homer. Just think... by getting all worked up about every warning track fly ball going back to when he started announcing, Bremer has been training for this season his whole career.

Mariner fans used to see CJ Cron all the time when he was an Angel. They're probably wondering what special hell they've fallen into where CJ Cron is 8 for 12 in this series with multiple dingers.

Pitchers stopped pitching from the windup...which was often the case with runners on (only) 3rd...and 3rd basemen actually started holding him like 1st basemen

That’s nothing. Our announcers just tied the record for saying “hard hittin’ Mark Whitten” in one broadcast. And Whitten isn’t even playing any more!

As much fun as this has been, maybe the next time the Twins score 20 runs in a game they could do it in Central or Eastern time so that the last 3 runs cross the plate on the same day that the first 17 did.
