Game Thread Twins @ Mariners 5/18/19 9:10 PM CDT

[MNT1996]

I'm surprised by Jose's pitch count. Didn't expect it to be that high

[sampleSizeOfOne]

What i miss?

Something about snoozing and losing?

[MMMordabito]

Berrios' fastball is just dominating tonight, and now the bender is coming back. Oh yeah, and he just changed at 77. Sick!!

[MNT1996]

Gonzalez hitting over .250. What a turn around

[stringer bell]

Nowadays one expects a bouncer over the pitcher's head to be fielded by the overshifted infielder.

[Vanimal46]

Long... LONG time coming tonight!

[Don Walcott]

Everybody gets a hit!! Thanks, Oprah!!

[stringer bell]

There's those extra points!

[MNT1996]

Cron is averaging 2 bases an inning...

[operation mindcrime]

CROM!!!!!!!!!!

[TwinsCD]

And the extra point...is good.  With lots of time remaining in the game, Vikings 14, Seahawks 0

[TFRazor]

It’s official, I’m feeling terrible for Mariners fans

[USAFChief]

From 1927.

I remember that team, but it was tough to watch them, what with the dial up internet.

[jtkoupal]

Minnesota takes a two-touchdown lead over Seattle right before halftime

[Diesel]

Dropped the ball on the game thread, but I guess the Twins made it up

[BoofBonser]

not even halftime yet!

[IndianaTwin]

Two batters into the fifth and everybody has a hit.

You can probably recreate it in 'MLB: The Show 19' by playing as the Twins with the difficulty level on 'Toddler', and with the Mariners' defensive ability set to 'Marsupial'.

[Don Walcott]

Dick and staff are scrambling for the Twins record book.

[IndianaTwin]

You know what they say — spot Jose Berrios 14 runs and he’s going to be tough to beat.

Good job Sano!!!!!

[TwinsCD]

Nice crosscourt winner there by Sano.  15-love, Twins.

Hmm, I don't know. Marsupials have pouches that can catch things.

[TwinsCD]

Fun fact about Matthew LeCroy that they failed to mention -- he's the manager for the DOUBLE-A Nationals affiliate (c'mon Latroy) in my hometown of Harrisburg, PA.  They entered the nite with the second-best winning percentage in ALL of baseball.  Matt's doing something right on the Island.

[LaBombo]

Mariners hold them to a field goal that inning.

Mariners' scouts are looking into that as we speak.

Arraez!

[OTPS300]

In 2006, Ozzie nicknamed the Twins team the "Piranahs". So what would he call this current team? Sharks or Whales not an option. The "Crocodiles" sounds pretty good to me.

Is he still going to be ok with 15?

Or 20, for that matter?

[operation mindcrime]

What a great moment for Luis Arraez!!!!!!
