Speaking of weak flooring, I heard about an actor on Broadway who fell through the floorboards. His agent said he was just going through a stage.

Major traffic accident here in Tucson this afternoon. A cement mixer collided with a bus ferrying prisoners between a state prison and a federal penitentiary.

Police have advised citizens to be on the lookout for 15 hardened criminals.

Speaking of actors, why is it OK to tell one, break a leg, before a performance?

Because the play already has a cast.

Was that a Bremergasm just then? I felt the earth move, but for just an instant. Then, nothing.

Warning track power, eh?

It looked like the fielder was preparing to jump, and had it fall in his lap, so if the players were surprised, any surprise fans might be too?

Some things just don't carry as well as others, i guess.

I like this A's team.

I hope they do some damage in the playoffs.

And-- I was in the US this summer, LA, SF, Chicago. (Hi, Carole!) Went to the Rugby 7s World Cup, in AT&T park.  As the tourney was winding down on Saturday, I decided to hop on the BART and head over to catch the A's vs. Giants, since I was staying with friends in Oakland, and never been to the park.

I ran into these guys from the UK, all dressed as matadors, who were also heading to ballgame to see what this American Base-ball was all about.

As Bart boys

As Bart boys1

As stadium

As record

We had a fun trip over- note the guy on his phone, who's trying to pretend it's all in a day's work...

Scalped a seat going in, and it just happened to be the the largest crowd ever at an A's game.

What a horrible park- it's like the Dome without the roof, just a concrete mass- but it was hell-a lively that night! Great game, too, A's won in extras, and a good time was had by all.

Well, not the Giants fans...

Interesting trivia: Lou Trivino, Oakland A's pitcher, is not related in any way to World Golf Hall of Famer Lee Trevino.

I am 6 degrees of separation from both of them and so are are you.

Six restraining orders from public figures is not something to brag about for either of you.

I thought degrees were conferred by educational institutions, not issued by judicial systems...

"After due course of study, the TD institute of lower learning is proud to present you with a Bachelor's in Separation, with all the rights and privileges pertaining thereto."

Now make TD proud, and make generous alumni contributions!

Just curious, what are the other 5?
