Watching Harmon Killebrew put one in the upper deck at Met Stadium, measured at 522 feet (and probably understated). And then, the following day, hitting one off the facing of the upper deck about 30 feet more towards center field. Many baseball historians think both were probably in the 600-foot category. No bat flip. No pigeon wing prancing around the bases. Just a guy doing his job. Yeah i miss Killebrew. Guy could slug the ball like no other. Not bad for a farm worker from Idaho. Pure strength without steroids or performance enhancers.
