Who closes?

Belisle being a closer for a month won't change his trade value. He's a known commodity and I bet no contenders will want to rely on him in a close game.

What if he shuts teams down as a closer? He's definitely a seasoned veteran, been through lots of battles. Tense game situations don't rattle him. If he's still got stuff to get guys out, then he could be a closer just as Kintzler became a closer.

However, I agree with other commenters that it's more important to try out younger guys than to eek out an extra ounce of trade value from guys like Belisle. I would rather see Hildenberger, Busenitz and Presley go out there in the ninth to see if they can close. Those are players that may be in Minnesota two years from now. Belisle will be long gone before this team contends.

Matt Belisle has been my whipping boy all season. He was lights out in July though and good (ERA wise) in June.

Perhaps he isn't as bad as we thought.

As far as the original question I would like committee. Go with the better matchups in each situation. I can understand an established great RP wanting a specific role but the Twins have a bunch of alright at best RP's. They don't deserve to get upset about not being the closer, 8th inning, etc... guy.
