Perrotto: Buxton aims to carry Sept 2016 into 2017

Buxton admitted that he has read articles on himself, from when he was a teenager, to being a top prospect, to being a "bust" according to some last year. But he says he's going to just keep playing and having fun. He's also hoping to use his strong finish to 2016 and bring it with him into 2017.

 

 

 

“I decided just to worry only about doing whatever I could to help the team win and that really relaxed me,” Buxton said. “We have a great group of young guys here and we’re a tight-knit group because a lot of us played together in the minor leagues. I decided to just have fun with my friends.”

Kind of felt this was part of Buxton's and Berrios's problem last season; trying too hard and tensing up. I think both guys, just relaxing and enjoying themselves more will make a difference.

I think he'll be fine.  His tools are pretty impressive and he's still really young.  Just needs experience.
