I'm currently reading some light, humorous, apocalypse books....pretty easy reads, and entertaining enough.....the point is, they start with quotes from the hero about the past. Book three starts like this:

 

"There was too much division for that. They gray area had disappeared. There was right, wrong, and no other option........<there are then 4 paragraphs basically saying, if you believe something, you are evil, no matter your belief, like this "If you thought some people shouldn't have guns, you wanted criminals to kill and rape everyone. If you wanted a gun, it was because you had a small penis and the other side ....">....And everyone was Hitler. Part of the problem was that everyone was an expert on everything so any chance for debate was quashed by superior credentials such as, "I read it on Wikipedia" or " the TV station that thinks like I do agrees with me and told me everyone else was too stupid to understand."

 

Too true.....we are somehow becoming more knowledgable, and more stupid at the same time. Maybe Dune was right, maybe having computers is actually a bad thing. I don't actually think that, I maintain hope that people are good, but I also maintain fear that those that want power win too often, since the rest of us don't want it.....and sometimes that winning comes with every bad consequences for those of us that just want everyone to be loved and happy.

Sounds a lot like our moderate/independent conversation a few weeks ago.  "You're either 100% with us or you're one of them!" And "them" is irredeemable and terrible.

Ha, yeah that book of Revelations is hoot! If memory serves that is, it's been awhile since I read it.

 

I'm pretty excited to see if the re-enactment is half as good as the book, they never are though.

First Megyn Kelly leaves Fox News, now Greta Van Susteren is going to MSNBC. Geez, if I didn't know better I'd be tempted to think there's something toxic about Fox News that makes women think they can do better elsewhere.

I've always liked Megyn Kelly. I'm curious to see how it goes away from fox. She now doesn't have to placate a certain crowd. Really excited to see her take off the kid gloves with Trump.
