Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 i wear sweat pants pretty regularly now. I've contemplated wearing them to work. Comfort beats pretty much every other consideration when you reach a certain stage in life. Say that to Chief, who still manages to put on his Sunday best every morning! wsnydes, Riverbrian and Platoon 3
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 'Asylum Guard' seems such a more appropriate title.I was thinking more along the lines of daycare provider. Craig Arko, Pardon My Dinger, Platoon and 1 other 4
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Sorry, not a believer that sweat pants room yoga pants belong in the workplace, unless that workplace is the gym. I get the comfort factor but those are "I give up" choices. Pardon My Dinger, wsnydes and ScrapTheNickname 3
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Yoga pants started becoming incredibly popular when I was 14-15 years old... It was really the perfect storm. Riverbrian 1
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I can assure you that I don't wear them for anyone's entertainment but my own. And that sounded weird. But I meant for exercise and comfort.I wasn't talking at you......c'mon I expect you to know that. Squirrel, Platoon, Vanimal46 and 1 other 4
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I hope you were referring to Van because dude, I wear yoga pants.Haven't seen Cool Hand Luke, eh? Vanimal46 and Riverbrian 2
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Another great thing about back to school... Is school lunch! School lunches I'm sure are night and day different than when we went to elementary/middle/high school. My favorite school lunches were taco day, and square pizza day! What were yours? wsnydes 1

What were yours?I was a huge fan of taco day. Our school had some turkey gravy stuff over mashed potatoes that I loved. The square pizza wasn't really my thing, but pizza boats sure were! My mom works in the school district and from what I can tell from her stories, kids eat like kings and queens these days. Vanimal46 and Riverbrian 2

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 And I'm perfectly fine with never working for you. Ok, fine. But we can still drink beer together in sweat pants? Riverbrian, wsnydes, Squirrel and 1 other 4
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Oh no, you said it, I just made it more obvious for you.No, no. I never said that I was entertained. That isn't the right word at all. I wouldn't consider admiring the female form to be entertainment. They aren't specimens or pieces of meat. Yup, better stop there again. twinsnorth49 1

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I also remember the turkey gravy stuff over mashed potatoes! I'm very much intrigued with pizza boats... Do explain. It's pizza on a crust shaped like the hull of a boat! With the extra crust, you got a little extra sauce, toppings, and cheese. My wife said that she had a taco salad type thing in a similar presentation. I'm jealous of that. Riverbrian and Vanimal46 2
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Haven't seen Cool Hand Luke, eh?Um, yeah, when it was a first-run movie in a theatre. Don't remember much about it, though. Riverbrian 1

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Hmmm, so what I've gleaned so far is young women wear yoga pants for old men's entertainment. Is that about right?Close. FTFY. Squirrel, twinsnorth49, wsnydes and 2 others 5

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 All of this food talk is making me hungry. All of this booze talk is making me thirsty. All of this yoga pants talk makes me want to exercise. Only so many hours in the day. Riverbrian and Platoon 2

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 What were some of the Canadian lunch specials in elementary/middle school for you, North?I know it's cliche but Poutine was pretty standard, Shepard's pie, pea soup and KD with Franks. Also had the good ol' pizza pops and the like. And Butter tarts....always Butter tarts. wsnydes, Vanimal46, Riverbrian and 1 other 4

I'd then learn nothing from it and repeat the process every time it was on the menu. Riverbrian and twinsnorth49 2
