Rosterman Verified Member Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Man, we could've traded Liriano to the O's for Lew Ford, Pat Neshek, Steve Tolleson and a low-level starting pitcher...I bet!
rickyhawaii Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Ford was doing really good in the international league, was wondering about this yesterday if he'd get a chance. Feel good story for him getting an opportunity. gotta wonder now where Dustin Mohr and Mike Ryan are..
Nick Nelson Site Manager Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I'm really bummed the Twins are done playing the Orioles this year.

He as out of MLB baseball since 2007. He has been playing "pro baseball" all along.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Saw him play tonight at Yankee stadium, not an awe inspiring performance as he didn't make solid contact all night. Hopefully he gets a couple hits before he is cast off. Always liked Lew and I am hoping he can succeed even though all signs point to the opposite at this point.
FrodaddyG Verified Member Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I still wish I could have been there for the "RRRREEEEEWWWW!!!" chants in his Japanese league games.

J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Lew Ford is probably the most well-loved non-Twin out there right now. Here's to Lew; hope he finds success.

Here's to Lew; hope he finds success.Probably not... he is for sure a loved non-Twin, but not the most. What about guys like Thome, Cuddy, and Hunter? I'd argue that they are all more loved than good ole' Lew.
